Hi all,

Well, as you can see from my join date, I've actually been a member here for a while. I looked into PVs about a year ago after I quit analogs with Swedish Snus. At the time, they seemed like more work then what I was looking for.

Recently I fell of the wagon, and started smoking analogs again for a couple of months, and find I miss the hand to mouth of smoking, so I decided to pick up a Joye 510 kit (http://www.store.e-cigarette-usa.com/Joye-510-Electric-Cigarette-ePack-kit-5-Cartridges-E-Pack-510-Sk.htm). I received it on Wednesday and have found that the supplied carts have a complete lack of flavor. They have a passable throat hit, and the unit produces decent vapor, so I'm assuming that the lack of flavor is just do to inferior quality on the carts.

I just place an order from Freedom Smokes USA for the following:
1 x Flavored tobacco Sampler Pack () = $9.00
1 x 5-Pack Black Flat Tip 510 Cartridges () = $4.00
1 x Black Atomizer for Joye510 () = $8.00
Bridge Regular
1 x American Spirit Pre-mixed Sampler () = $2.25
Milliliters 3
pg/vg 50%pg50%vg
Nicotine 24mg
1 x dessert Delights Sampler Pack () = $9.00.

I'm hoping the flavors from here will add to my enjoyment of my new hobby, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the information here, but I'm slowly assimilating some of the information. I'm already regretting only getting one battery and atty with my starter kit, but I'll probably pick up a manual battery with my next paycheck.

if your on the cheap...try liberty flights...riva 510...and madvapes chinese USA e-liquid. the riva is a 510 unit with 2 batts and attys, long batt life, for around 30 bucks...the USA, generic tobacco flavor like a marlboro, 50ml is 10bucks...that should get ya going. You can use the 510 atty you already have and you need to get a few more attys.

Welcome! Or welcome back to vaping!

Here's great places to find sales.

E Cigarette Suppliers Forum

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals-491.html

You can find sales on 510 batteries quite often.

I'd recommend buying a box of boge SR cartomizers. So much easier and you get a much better vape as opposed to the atty/cart.

Joogler Juice has them for about $7 with a free bottle of juice. Code ECF5OFF for $5 off your first purchase.

Crystal Clear Vaping also carries SR Boge cartomizers.

+1 on the Riva/ ego longer life battery. The longer battery life makes vaping sooo much easier. I found the reg 510 alot of hassle. I also prefer a good cartomizer. I like the 1.7 from CCV (15 for about $20), but that's not immediate for you. I just like less fooling around with it all. But don't over commit at this point- I also found for at home I like a bottem feeder mod. Take one step at a time, decide what you want to change and read up on your options, so you don't go broke on mistakes!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'm definitly taking it one step at a time. I'm trying to keep my dabbling in this at under $30 a paycheck, we'll see how that pans out though :D. Next week will be a 2nd battery and some cartos. I've also taken a look at the puck mod, which looks pretty easy to do on a budget, and would be perfect for home use.

@36tinybells, Yep, I've been looking for the discount codes, just missed the sale Freedom Smokes had by a couple of hours, too bad I had to work late :D

The 510 is a good starter just to find out if this will work for you.
It is small, and some like that, but battery life is also 'small'.

Keep track of your expenditures on e-cig stuff, and lack of expenditures on tobacco stuff. You should soon see a little extra to spend on stuff.

I agree with some that the cartomizer (carto) is the way to go over the atomizer/ cartridge (atty/cart) setup. Just so many different types to try :)

The 510 system is fine as there are many different models that will fit, and even adapters to use 808D-1 stuff.
I would think twice about getting more little 510 batteries unless you were a 3 cigarette per day guy. You will find you need more and more of the little batteries and 5 or 10 port chargers for home and work. Carrying something like an ego or one of the clones is just so much more forgiving with longer charge life. Tank attys, bottom fillers, high voltage mods, and variable voltage mood mods (voltage changes automatically with your mood :)) will come later.

Best of luck,

Rocky
