Good Morning! and happy 4th of July to everyone whether in the US or not.
As you can see Im yet another newbie to come across your forum and ive been reading a lot here. This past Wed night (its Fri morning) I put down the cigarettes and picked up a vape. (Please excuse me if I dont get all the slang right.) Its been much easier than I anticipated. Yes Im only 24 hrs into this but I feel good about it.
I am using a "Vapor-Blend" Eco tank. I actually have 2, One menthol and one w/ blueberry juice. I dont know how good the set up is, Im sure a lot of you are laughing... Newbs.... Yes I know. But is what was available at the time.
I just wanted to introduce myself. I may not say much here but I will be lurking and reading and hopefully learning from all of you while I kick this nasty cigarette habit. Wish me luck! Thank you for reading this.

Welcome and good luck to you! A quick net or forum search will lead you to some helpful cheat sheets for help with the slang. I was going to post a link but honestly cheat sheets are a personal preference. I looked at several before I found one that was organized/designed in a way that worked best for my learning style.

I started in January of 2012 and have never looked back. The benefits are enormous! I can breathe better, taste better, smell better, run! I don't stink, burn holes in things, have to go outside every hour, risk burning the house down XD etc.

Welcome, and congrats. It's good to see the community and movement as a whole is growing and gaining traction.

I started with a simple device and blueberry and menthol too. I found that I liked a darker base (Mocha, Irish Cream) to which I would add some of my BB and Menthol to taste. After six months I am still using those original bottles of juice to add a few drops to sweeten and smooth. I am also still using my original basic PV.

Hi all, Its the beginning of day 3 and I cant believe how easy the switch was. For 30 yrs I have been a pack a day smoker.
I've been reading every ones story so here's mine...
My husband and I went to the cig store Wednesday. I have been seriously entertaining the idea of quitting but thought... "There's no way I'm strong enough to do it. Ill fail and look the fool." Well we walked in that day, He grabbed 2 cartons and waited in line. While he paid I was eyeing the vaping kit on the counter. Some of my friends on Facebook have been talking about it a lot but none are what I would call serious at it. I've been asking people about it but no one really had any answers.
We got in the car, carton in hand, I said " Wait before you start the car... I wanna go back in and see if anyone in there knows about these "vaping Things" Back in I went. Luckily the guy behind the counter was knowledgeable and gave me a complete walk through. Meanwhile a customer behind me knew about it to. I asked about mixing the cigs and vaping (Cause my husband had just bought me a carton) The customer said " Don't. Just put the cigs down." (Yeah right, he didn't know me, that wasn't gonna happen)
Next thing I know I had a kit in hand and they were debating on what strength juice I needed... I left the store with a kit and 2 juice.
Took it home, charged it, after I got all my evening chores and stuff done I sat down and filled it and I tried it. That was it.... a couple hrs later I tried a half a cig. I didn't want it. I wanted my "Vape thing" I haven't touched a cig since and I don't want to. I'm not going back. The very next day I returned to the store, unopened carton of cigs in hand and thankfully the sales person let me trade it in for another vape and an extra juice. I'm on my way now.
I am thankful to find this forum as I am in a very rural area and there's no one around who does it that I can really find and only one place to get supplies that I know of. Im reading a lot here and will admit half of the stuff you all are talking about is going right over my head but I'm trying. I'm a fairly intelligent person so it wont be long til I've "got it"
Looking forward to learning!!

Sitting here reading thread after thread...
You are all so supportive of everyone. Im glad I found my way here. Its officially day 5 with no cigs. Today has been the hardest day. I have started this journey with mall/kiosk brand vaping equipment. I guess you would say mistake #1 but then again not really cause I put down the stinkies. Step 1 right? So far one of my ecigs has crapped out. So Im down to 1. Made an order to Mount Baker yesterday. I got the Innokin starter set. I hope that wasnt mistake #2. Its gotta be better than what I have now. I just hope it gets here fast. I paid for priority, fingers crossed.
I seriously would have thought the 1st couple days would have been the hardest but it was easy, Today not so much but I hung in there.

Ive been reading and reading about different "Rigs" Its honestly enough to make my head spin. Im sure at some point I will want to upgrade from whats coming... where I will go with that I have absolutely no clue. but I think I will do ok with it until I can save up some cash for a better set up.

Thanks again for sharing all the stories and advice. I guess its time to get some sleep as tomorrow is another day. So when does it get easier again? LOL
