With them only being 3ml samples, I tried 12 drops choc to 6 drops of coconut/almond.
so so....then I noticed the almond is non-pg...no flavor LOTS of vapor. When I placed this order with this supplier, most of the choices were non-pg and being a newbie I had never tried non-pg. They have no flavor to me anyway but make lots of vapor lol. I'm giving it another try ordered again and he had pg almond. so we will try and make Almond Joy next week. I think I will go with even amounts of all three flavors.

I was advised to stay away from Almond flavouring as it contains Oil which will damage an atomiser.
Thanks for the heads up using one thats been around for weeks if it kills it no biggie.
This almond joy tastes pretty great, used chocolate, coconut, almond and cream with a base of tn cured. (never bought unflavored always use either marlb or tn cured on mixes)

Personally, I don't buy that idea. Both are PG and nic, and atomizers can be used with any level of nicotine you have in the juice, or none at all. Many of us change the amount of nicotine even during the course of the day with no problem. Diluting the flavor that's in the original 36mg shouldn't have a negative effect, either. There are other possibilities we haven't explored here that I would think are more likely. Is there enough juice to keep the atty wet? Conversely is the atty flooding? Are they 901 or 4072?
I play with PG, VG and flavorings, and have only twice had atty problems. But one was a brand new 4072 from my first kit, and the other was its warranty replacement, so I lean toward blaming it on the hardware. Since then I stick with 901s and all is well. I'm with Stickless and Enfield on maintenance, and keep it simple. I just blow my atom out and leave it upright at night. I rotate two. When they felt like they weren't working at peak performance I soaked them in nearly boiling water and both were back to normal the next day. Each has needed this only once so far. An atty costs just about what I used to spend on a day's worth of cigarettes, so at this point if either atty dies any time soon I won't complain.
I vape a 50/50 liquid/glycerin (so it's pretty thick), daily, all day long. Haven't had a single atomizer die on me yet.
What do I do? When the draw gets harder and vapor production starts to decrease, I just rinse them out in hot tap water for a couple of minutes, and blow 'em out, rinse with Ethyl Alcohol and then I rinse them again repatedly, in hot water, then blow excess water out, let them dry a bit, "reprime" with a few drops of liquid, let it sit for a few minutes and it's right back to vaping. I find that I need to do this once a week. After you clean your atomizer, you might notice a temporary decrease in performance, that just means all the water may not have dried, keep vaping, it'll come back.
I've got an atomizer that's over 10 weeks old and still going strong!
So, while thicker mixes will gunk up the atomizers more quickly than using straight liquid, all it takes is cleaning them once in a while to improve taste and bring back performance. And trust me when I say, I literally abuse my atomizers, usually with 5-8ml of 50/50 mix daily!

I can only add (from experience) that Lorann's almond flavoring is very, very strong!
Almond is practically my favorite flavor ever (think candy, marzipan, pastry). I purchased almond e-liquid that was very disappointing--all I could taste was plastic bottle--and so my very first foray into DIY with Lorann's was to zip up some commercial liquid with almond flavoring. I completely, positively over-did it and had a major almond over-dose that day.
My atomizer came out of it fine, but I had to swear off all things almond for at least, oh, 48 hours.

I clean them by blowing them out and have soaked them in Brew-Rite cleaner a couple of times.
In my limited experience, it is not necessary to go through attomizers at a rapid pace, but hopefully we can find common activities that lead to early failure.

Battery side up, blown out before put on the dry rack, and blown out again when removed from the dry rack. After two days, it's amazing how much more comes out that didn't drain in that amount of time. I also blow through both sides - not just the cart side.
An atty is just like a little engine except it doesn't have a radiator. These things will destroy themselves if you don't baby them a little. I rarely hit one longer than 8 seconds in one drag. I let it cool down if I take 4 or 5 big pulls in a row. And believe it or not, outside temperature affects the life of your atty. If you are sitting outside on a warm evening, or vaping at the beach and the temperature is over 90 degrees, the atty takes a beating. When vaping in higher temps, make sure to allow even MORE cool down time.

When vaping in the car, I've taken to holding my 510 in my hand (on the steering wheel--uh, yeah!) near the a/c vent in order to provide some extra air-cooling to my atty.
There are soooo many different notions going around as to why attys last a long time, or not, that it seems to me that the manufacturing of them must lack sufficient quality controls - which makes their performance too variable for us to figure out how to keep them going.
In my own case, my own supplier (never to be used again) TECC guarantees the attys for 18 days, but does not actually honour those guarantees; which is why I am pursuing them through PayPal.
The three attys that I bought from them lasted 5 days, 3 days and less than 24 hours; but I did not change my liquids or anything else during this period. In other words, the variation in lifetimes must surely be down to the variation in quality of the attys themselves.

as a rule sweeter liquid may often contain sugars which carmelize on the wick/coil becoming a hard as rock deposit. this is why the cola/phosphate and many other cleaning solutions have been investigated.so far none have proved to work universally.
I recommend running your atomizer hot with a usb pass or manual switch. This will help get rid of the gunk that's does not "atomized," left behind especially by VG. It's easiest with a 901 because you can cover up the hole and prevent cooling the atomizer with the rushing air. It has worked miracles for myself and other forum members. Btw. If you don't have a 901 or a passthru/manual, you can take the led cover off and lightly blow into it to activate the atomizer.
