Now that you've mentioned that, E-cigs are so popular and rather commonplace here now that it took someone to mention butts for me to realise how much cleaner the town centre looks without a thousand and one extinguised, trodden down cig butts on the ground.

Aww, thank you. I'll be sure to keep my original gutter as a summer home for when this one gets crowded.

Another reason the FDA and Government should keep their noses out of our business. I use Vivi Nova's and I for sure am not going to toss it out the window! The refillable systems are a double blessing in that respect.

I may have to ask to vacation there when this gutter gets too crowded....if you don't mind.

Wait until the people who are throwing the disposable ecigs out windows switch to Provari's. That will change their habits quickly.

but really, it will probably happen, people who are used to throwing everything out the window will continue to do it

I used to run a large western clothing store and sold expensive silver plated chew can lids as gifts- most cowboys who chew throw their cans out the windows of their pickups when they are empty - lot of repeat business - are you going to admit to your wife or kids you threw their expensive gift out the window?

Me? I live in an area that regularly bans smoking in your car with your windows down (and anywhere outside) if you are in the national park (and it is enforced)

Years ago when smoking bans started (think Hillary) I began seeing more cig butts on sidewalks and road sides than I ever did before the bans. I think it was smorker's backlash. Maybe that's going on with vaping now? I've never met a vaper who would even think of throwing away a disposable even. They get attached or turn into ecig packrats or try to use the parts. I'm really skeptical about this throwing-out-a-vehicle-window thing.

Edit: But then I've thought for a long time that ANTZ have taken lying to a new level... they kind of define Utilitarianism... "the end justifies the means." I leave all that between them and their Maker... of course very few believe they even have one so "anything goes."

Coulda been but I found myself timing cigarettes. You get your last possible puff just before entering the door of the non smoking estiblishment. Managements felt like having an ashtray by the door encouraged smoking by the door. It all just went on an on until smoking within 15 feet of the door was banned. Then smoking anywhere on the property was banned.

And yet, buying cigarettes is still legal? Sorry, the blood is starting to boil again. /rant.

Blaming lack of faith? Just curious... who would you trust more? Someone who believes that this is their only shot at doing things right or someone who thinks no matter what they do they can just be forgiven and rewarded eternal bliss anyway? Religion can be blamed for an anything goes mentality just as easily as lack of religion. Some people use religion as a white-wash for their own personal guilt. Other's use it as justification to impose their version of "God's Will" on others. Many are simply staying true to tradition and cultural norms. Otherwise the location of birth wouldn't be the major deciding factor in what religion someone ends up following. Personally, since I see nice people of all religions and complete jerks of all religions, I think of religion like a placebo. When it works who cares why? When it doesn't, try a different placebo. Or none. :)

Littering is just littering. I saw a fat woman unwrap a handful of candies while sitting in a parking lot. Her front bumper was almost touching the trash can that was placed on the curb. Where did her wrappers go? Out the window. Heaven forbid she burn half a calorie and take the four to five steps needed to dispose of her waste properly. ..................

sigh......why you feel like it's ok to bash fat people is beyond me. I've seen plenty of skinny, selfish, judgmental people litter too!

Sorry about the fat comment but it was the context. If she would have walked to the trash can I would have felt more empathy. Being since she was a lazy inconsiderate slob, fat seemed to apply.

hmmm, you did it again! obviously you are not sorry for your fat comment. are you afraid you will get fat?

I've been fat, I've been skinny, but I've never been a litterer

I hate it when people litter. Though, I'm guilty of doing it. As far as the fat thing goes, people tend to relate someone being obese with a lack of self control/laziness. Sometimes that assumption is 100% correct. Sometimes, it's a condition and totally false. In this instance, the person was lazy AND fat, making them a pretty easy target for being called a slob.

"Because e-cigarettes are designed to look like cigarettes, they pose a problem to business owners and threaten effective enforcement of the Smoke-Free Air Act,"

Yea because vapor is smoke, sure. And while you're at it saving the kids, I want you to include vehicles, generators, fossil fuels and just about anything that emits carbon monoxide and poisions the air I breathe. You people driving your vehicles to work is infringing on my rights to breath clean air.

See, and this is why I'm atheist. Ban religion, it's gods will, you know.
