Don't know why I went back to 'analogs' ... joined this forum 5 years ago; got me and hubby on e-cigs and we really liked them. I still have Joye 510, as we both like to vape with a 'pen style' that looks like a real cigarette.

Anyway, I just can't continue to puff on toxic cigarettes and the cost is ridiculous, plus they taste terrible!

I'm overwhelmed with all the choices of e-cigs and would love some guidance on what to get that gives good cloud vapor and is pen style. I've done a bit of research, but am still overwhelmed. I see the Joye is still out there and I'm wondering if what I have has been improved and can I stay with a Joye 510?

It's good to be back here and perhaps now, I can quit ANALOGS FOREVER!

Welcome back.

I had a Joyetech 510 kit (manual).... gosh, I never even got it working properly in all honesty.

Not sure I would recommend the AIO. Vaping at 30w is 5 or 6 times as much vapor as a cig-a-like - it might suit you, it might not... either way, it's not a slim/small e-cig to me.

The cig-a-like (Pen?) market is absolutely awash with dreadful products at exorbitant prices. I can't hand on heart recommend any of them. A Kanger 808 PCC kit with cartomizers was the best cig-a-like I had. That was what I used before trying a failing with Joyetech 510.

Then I just an eGo kit and never went back.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest you go up to a slim 'tube' style model. Innokin T18 would be the kind of thing I'd go for. Plenty of vapor, nice cost, available atomizer heads. :thumb:

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the input; I hesitate to buy anything currently from my local smoke shop, as there is a dizzying array of choices and I need to re-educate myself before I feel confident enough to buy anything.

Yes, good idea; may I add, please,

Before you jump in with your feet into a large unknown puddle, try a 20w or 30w device before ordering one.

The AIO (and Subvod and iJust and eGo ONE) offers no power variability. You get what you get... (until you swap the coils)

Now... a box mod + the mini Nautilus on the other hand can vape from 5 watts to 15 watts which is like a cig-a-like from the gas station up to the beginnings of subohm territory.

If you want to stay with fairly small penlike...Vapor Engine has Evod Double Starter Kits for only $7.00/kit on Blowout sale right now! You get (2) 650mAh batteries, 2 Evod tanks, 5 coils, a USB charger + a wall charger...all for that price! Just the 5 coils usually cost that much at many places. (You can get those for less though right now, too.)

If you want something else, like a very small mod though, (only 2" tall, about 3/4" deep, and 1 1/4" across the front)...the Eleaf Mini iStick 10w mods are great! I use 2 of them, and have many more stashed away for friends I'm helping to switch over to vaping. Easy-peasy to use, adjustable volts, etc., and Desert Vapes has the kit on sale for $19.95, which includes the mod, the adapter, and the charging cord and manual. (I can give you a 1-time code for a 10% discount off of that, too, if you decide to get 1. Tish, the owner, gave me the code to pass along to newbies who want to buy something.)

I checked out the AIO for myself...since it's highly recommended. However, I decided against it for several reasons. The coils for it are proprietary, and are not cheap IMO. They only fit 2 different things, so vendors can charge what they want for them pretty much! I'm also not into subohming, which from my understanding is what many use them for, especially since they come with coils for that.
