In an effort to get more heat to the center of a cartomizer on the KR808D-1 series trying to improve vapor production, i carefully inserted a spent staple on each side of the metal element. It looks like it has a round cylinder at the top of the element. It took some patience, but i was able to insert two spent staples (one on each side of the element) hoping i'd have more metal surface area for heat.
Could be my imigination, but it seems i'm getting more vapor from this set up. The cartomizer does get hot, so much so i had to cut the closed end off a carto cap (the clear caps) and slide that over the cart and use as a mouth piece for insulation. Its got a different feel but it works.
I'll use it throught the day and see what happens. My logic is...if the staples are touching the element, its gotta heat them up and disperse the heat evenly across the center of the cart.
