? just a minor glitch to my mind there, because without running any figures, my experience shows that a more satisfactory vape with the longer coil won't require as much as 100w.
I look at it more from a voltage increase... and less watts.
You're vaping 70w and probably about 4v...
Increase the resistance and the voltage, but not the watts and get a better vape because of the surface area, cool down, etc.
I'm often amazed the watts (and effort of batt) is low.

Well, both of my devices are VW not VV, so I have to work with what I've got right now. I'm looking for a new box mod and will make sure this one is VV.

No need to. Ohms Law is a circle, and there are always three ways to get from point A to point B. All three ways will always have the same result.

“But Baditude, this thing is just a triangle!” you might be thinking, and that’s where you’re wrong. Using this you can calculate any one value assuming you have the other two. Simply cover up the value you don’t have and BAM! There’s you’re formula.

Trying to calculate voltage (V), and you already have resistance (R) and amperage (I)? Cover the V and we get I x R = V and that’s your formula.

    Have voltage (V) and amperage (I) and need resistance (R)? Cover up R. V / I = R.

When you have voltage (V) and resistance (R) and need to know the amperage (I) that a coil will pull from the battery? Cover the I and we get V / R = I. This is the formula we will use the most when rebuilding coils. We can control our voltage with VV devices and we can control our resistance with different coils, so we almost always have V and R and need to find amperage (I) to verify we’re safe.

Yeah so just set up your coil and set watts to taste... a 1 to 2 ohm coil with i.e. 30g wire will give you enough wraps to see the difference and your VW should not have to get anywhere near 70w.

Okay so I'm using a 50w regulated mod with rba,I can't recall the exact coil wraps in my current build but it's running.9ohms....my sweet spot seems to b between .5-1 ohm,so .6 or .7 I'm rly happy to have..subtank mini does exactly what I want n need in Vaping.enuf cloud production nd as long as I'm wicked all good the flavor is bomb!! Just saying cuz this post was a great read Thot I'd throw what I run now..thxxxx

well put! Im total new to the whole coil building and thought sub ohm was the only way to get good flavour and clouds. Glad to hear thats not the case. I just picked up a Lemo 2 yesterday with the stock coil at .5ohms although clouds were decent i found the flavour a little weak. Where on other tanks it was great. any recommendations and a new build i should try that would produce great flavour.

just to take the idea in the direction implied, you could do anywhere from 1 to 2 ohms coil using 30g wire would give you 1. more surface area 2. better cool down 3. use more voltage (not necessarily more watts) to get the vape you want.
If using a mech mod, I'd stay down below 1.6 ohms, but even so you will be getting results.

so you can up the voltage if you need, i assume... not sure the range of the IPV mini 2, but yeah...

range is up to 70 watts. So question. I recently rebuilt a coil for my Atlantis, as i ran out and had some wire at home. I did 30 gauge twisted 5-6 wraps and came out to 1.4 ohms. Now vapor production was great I just found flavor not so much. This is when i started to realize I don't need sub ohm for vapour but i thought maybe i do for more flavour. I had to crank it up to 30 to get decent vapour but any higher then that and coil would start to burn. What would i need to do to adjust it in order to get better flavour? This might not be the right thread for this but i thought i'd ask.

    not sure on a tank,but mine I at 0.9 ohm-1 ohm...since I have a limited space to work with..
wattage settings is about 44watts,to get a decent warmth that I want..
    this about 15 wraps..

    decent vapor,thou...
and kinda works with what op is saying...

what size wire are you using?

I am in Ph,not in the US and I am not sure what our wires translate to USawg
there is a "new" trend here on vapers**

those are ss wires I think, resistance is a lot lower so it allows me to use more loops.
.40mm gauge if I recall the vendor saying correctly,

ive read that your having burnt taste right?
on higher wattages, might want to change the amount of wicks,
    I am no expert,but if I vape higher wattages, cotton is a bit,more ...
    not sure why...

wicking usually is the cause for an issue for burnt taste

could be stuff collecting on the coils as well. I just rewicked my RDA, but before I put in the new wick I dryburned it. There was soo much cotton particles/eliquid particles on the actual coils, that you could see them actually catch fire and burn off, lol. After that though no more burnt flavor after rewicking.

    true,forgot that part :)

since everytime I rewick, dry burning is always part of the process :)
