From what I've seen/read I'm under the belief that it's all about image. After spending years making smokers into pariahs and demonizing smoking along come E-Cigs to shatter the evil image. I was vaping at a coffee shop a week or so ago and a lady complained to the management first that I was smoking cigarettes inside, when she was told I wasn't smoking that I was vaping she then said that she could smell my cigarette smoke and she was told, (by a barrista who also vapes) that she couldn't smell 'cigarette smoke' from me (I was vaping HHV Powder Keg which smells/tastes like an almond joy candy bar) and she lastly complained that it 'looked like I was smoking'.

i love when people get all noble against a smoker. i just calmly explain is an ecig, not a tobacco cig, and then i usually go on about how their car emits fumes that i can smell and also cause damage to my body.
all these anti smokers are huge fans of big coal and fossil fuels, and dont see the hypocricy in saying 1 cigg is killing them. they drive in their big fancy cars (because poor people dont complain about smokers, they have real world problems, lol) with their stinky burnt gas fumes coming about down to mickey dees, get 2 quater pounders, a large fries, a large drink and a pie or shake, and then have the audacity to tell me that my ecig is going to kill them.

sometimes im not sure how i keep going in this world. and then i realize were all stuck on this stupid planet, trapped with the superstupids....ughh, wheres my ejuice...haha

heck what about the chem trails, flouridated water, gmo foods, vaccines, and antibiotic resistant virus's.... but no.. anything cigarette related, thats bad...
we got first hand through tenth hand smoke practically...

now being in a room with smokers (and not smoking) and leaving that room is 4th hand smoke for the people you encounter later in the day, and 4th hand smoke WILL KILLL...

I was on this same horse earlier. I write a lot of short humor essays and I posted my latest to my ECF blog. It's mostly about how the world of smoking has changed. I end up on e-cigs but don't get around to the Antis until the last paragraph which contains the kind of mild threat I frequently make to loved ones.

The thing that gripes me the most is that ecigs are far safer than smoking cigarettes and it seems the anti movement (be it state, local, fed and other whole countries) have totally jumped over that fact and by imitating Carrie Nation they want to hatchet ecigs on all levels. It is total lunacy. We are the tech age now and the fact that people want electronics is no surprise, be it phone, puter or e cig, this is the age of the trons, we want those electrons working for us! Actually I'm more worried about Big Pharma than BT. BT is kinda onboard with Ecigs, sure they're gonna try and corner the market - but they seem to support ECigs. Big Pharma on the other hand stands to lose BILLIONS if ECigs take off, NRT Quit Smoking Meds, not to even mention the $$$ they'd lose from Cancer Meds due to fewer people developing smoking-related cancers.

Last I checked, nearly all of the anti-vaping legislation has been coming from states and localities that are also against the burning of fossil fuels.

here in lexington we gotta live with that hahn lady at UK and her lying smears, and now the local newspaper here had a huge article on ecigs.
they said they are marketed as a stop smoking device, that its marketed as safe, and that its full of unknown chemicals. they literally lead readers to believe all the juice is mixed in china with no real rules.. doesnt seem to be the case here..

It is just a symptom of bigger problems

you have a govt that wants to control everything

now more and you have people begging the govt to control everything from what you eat to what you travel to what you live or how you keep and make you food the list is endless

the things I see in the news are absurd and goes largely unnoticed (that's the scariest part)

just for 2 small examples some school want to implement walking busses where a chaperone walks the kids to school like a bus only no bus

or Michel Obama wants implement rap music dance in the schools to help kids loose weight

and the list goes on and on

I feel like I woke up in bazaro world a few years ago
