can't say for sure, as i've been vaping 6-7 months, don't even know anymore lol.
But the whole time i've been at 12mg, didn't see any reason to change what was working for me, i'd advise going back to 18mg and see how you feel, if that takes the anxiety away then you'll have your answer, should it be the case and you still really want to drop nic level, do it in smaller increments, go from 18 to 16mg and try that.

It could be psychological because you could vape 50% more to get the same nicotine.
Either way, 2 months isn't very long. It took me that long just to get used to vaping.
You could mix equal amounts of 18mg and 12mg to get 15mg, to make a reduction less stressful.

I'm going the chicken route. I've just now dropped from 20mg to 18mg after 6 months. plan on about a 2mg drop every 2 months.

Does anyone think a drop from 18mg to 12 could cause withdrawal. Been Vaping for almost two months. Started at 18mg. Since it was such an easy transition to Vaping, I figured I could easily lower my nicotine. The last few days have been real rough ( anxiety) has anyone else had this issue?

Just take your time and make sure you have some of your higher nic juice on standby just in case.

I appreciate everyone's feed back. I'm going to try some 18mg candy cane, although I don't like it, it's what's on hand at that strength. It's almost like the feeling when I was smoking and I'd try to cut back for a few days, then I'd chain smoke. It's like my body has a set nicotine level. For a few days it's ok.. Them bam! Again thanks to everyone on the boards!

Yes, it could cause withdrawal. Maybe try adding a couple of drops of the 18 and a couple of drops of the 12 (assuming that you are not using prefilled carts)

If you are using prefilled then vape a couple hits of the 18 and then a couple of the 12.. Just alternate until your not feeling so anxious.

Or maybe stay at 18 for awhile longer. No rush to drop down. Do what makes you feel comfortable.

Just remember that nicotine is on a par with caffeine as far as it's adverse health effects, so don't be in a rush to drop the level down.
You've done the part that matters, which is getting rid of the chemicals that are deadly in analogs, the rest will come naturally.

Yes! I tried dropping from 18mg to 12mg after a week. I was fine for 2 days and then it hit me. I went back to 18mg and was fine. Don't drop too fast and would suggest trying only a couple of mg's at a time.

I only quit stinkies a week ago, so I know the feeling. I for sure had a craving at one point, but some 18mg juice fixed that and fast.

Give it time, you are breaking a habit so you got to un-learn what you previously did...it takes a minute.

If im really craving, well...I got some 24mg juice at the start lol..I had no idea it was like unfiltered smokes. I used it a bit, made me feel crispy.

Now typically Ill use 12 or 18mg stuff. One step at a time.

When I started vaping, I started out with 18mg juices, thinking that would be enough. I was starting to think vaping wasn't for me until I tried the 24mg juices. I'm ok now. But I did experience anxiety, and just wasn't "getting enough".

I would recommend just using the levels you are comfortable with. I've been vaping exclusively for a little over 3 months now and still use the 24mg. I have a couple juices I use that are 18mg, but I only use them every now and then, usually at nighttime.

Don't worry about stepping down so much. Just whatever you need to keep going, not have anxiety, and be cig free.

Up the nicotine and you will be fine. As a matter of fact this past week I have upped my nic to 24mg due to some stressful times. I'm not sure if I will stay there or go back to 18mg. I will just have to see how I feel. Don't worry about the number, listen to your body. Use whatever it takes to keep off the smokes.

Nothing says you have to drop your nicotine consistently. Why not have 18mg juice and 12 mg juice and just vape the 12mg and when you start feeling antsy, just vape the 18mg.

I have 0mg, 6mg, and 12mg. Sometimes I vape the 6mg, sometimes I vape the 0mg, sometimes I mix them and vape 3mg. Then very infrequently I vape the 12mg. I do this throughout the day and I've never experienced any withdrawal symptoms.
