So I use to smoke about half a pack per day (cigs) now i try to stick with vaping. I've cut down alot on smoking cigs, however, I dont feel like im getting that same hit from a cig as I do with vaping. I tried multiple devices, Dont get me wrong, i love vaping, its just i dont feel like i get that same hit in my lungs as i do with cigs.

I guess I will keep trying to slowly cut down on cigs, and keep at it with my pv.

Any advice/suggestion/comments..

A couple of things can give you more throat hit and chest hit. Variable voltage PV's, if your voltage is turned up a bit higher it will make the vape warmer. I like mine a bit warmer since I have not been off analogs very long yet. I keep mine at around 4.5 volts for vaping thicker juices out of a tank with a LR (2 ohm) carto, 3.7 with a LR atty for dripping

What is the PG/VG ratio you are using now?

You should give the NJoy Kings a try. They are 8 bucks a piece at 7-11, incredibly close to a real cigarette in looks, feel (feel of the device itself) as well as the vapor quality. This is probably the closest you will get to the feeling of smoking a cigarette. They are kind of too expensive to vape as your all-day main vape, but I'm thiking they would work well for you for those times when you get a strong craving for a cigarette. Use your other equipment most of the time, and save the Njoy King for those potential moments of weakness.

If you are simply after more throat it, get liquids with more, or all PG. You can also up your nicotine content. There are some juice additives that also do nothing but increase throat hit, although I'm a little curious how they do this. Using lower resistance carto/attys or getting a device that delivers more power is another route you can go to increase throat it.

I am new to this forum, have been on Reddit Ecigs up until now, but in my couple of months worth of experience I know exactly what you are talking about. I've tried numerous combinations and while you can create a good throat hit, it is hard to replicate the feeling of your lungs filling up with smoke. I feel that vaping hits you first at the top of your throat whereas analogs hit you much deeper into the lungs. It doesn't bother me at all, but I have a friend I have been trying to convert who just can't get past it.

I agree. I'm pretty new as well but I don't think you'll ever be able to say vaping feels the same as smoking a cig. It's def different and you have to stick with it. I didn't stop immediately. I prob smoked 3-5 cigs a week before I stopped completely. It's been a week since I've had a cig (I'm 2 weeks in) but I just refused to buy anymore. Even cutting down on cigs is an awesome accomplishment!!! If it were easy to quit or find a replacement we wouldve all quit years ago lol! Just go at your own pace. Find the right juice for you & play around with diff nic levels. I started with a nic level of 18 but I got some at 24 for those times when I feel like I wanna go buy another pack of cigs. When I feel like smoking I just vape. But I think a VV might make a difference. It did for me. Goodluck!! And welcome to ECF!!!

lovin the vape
I started with 36mg of nicotine and a high PG content (70/30). The vaping transition was easier for me with that sort of throat hit. After a week of vaping, I thought I would try 24mg with a 50/50 ratio. Considering my 1.5 to 2 PAD habit, vaping has been fantastic.

I'm currently using an ego clearomizer 1.6 ml, but I do see myself using a tank style with variable voltage for more heat.
