i have been trying to stop smoking for a while and would like to use the e cigs as a tool to do so i am looking for a 100's size automatic cig (the one that you dont have to hold a button) that hits hard and delivers alot of niccototine that has a variety of choices to switch to after i quit i would like to ween myself off of cigs. i smoke marlboro red 100's and they are quite potent so i would like something to compare. the price is not really an issue but i dont want to collect them so any and all advice would be helpful. ppc and other accesorys would be nice too but not deal breakers. thanks yall.

Hi & Welcome aboard!

My Suggestions:

Don't rule out "the one(s) that you have to push the button" - lots of us think that you get a bigger hit and more vapor with the Manual Style by pushing the button 1 or 2 secs before you start to draw.

Cignot ... you will have it in 48 hours! ... I really like my 510

Go Bucks!

Agree with Tommy. If you go to cignot - good choice, btw, you could get one auto and one manual and my guess you'd end up buying more manuals. A manual batt puts you in control not a chip in the battery. Here:

Joye 510 NO BOX

Also if you upgrade to mega batteries or mods (long life batts), then you'll have the right atomizer - a Joye 510.

Try a few flavors. Most likely you will end up on something non-tobacco flavored. Its not exactly like smoking flavorwise. There are a few places that have the sample packs so you aren't married to a big honking bottle you don't like. Best E Ciggy has a 10 for $10 offer- they are VG based and come in 3ml size bottles.

i just want to keep my habit as normal as possible i was looking at a vapor king and the joy so what yall are saying is that i can have a joy 510 in manual and automatic. and i would like to have some suggestions on marlboro like juices if thats what you use in the joy and what not and tommy O-H!!!

Regarding the Joye 510 - yes you can choose in the dropdown at cignot.com, 1 manual, 1 auto, if you like, and a few different led colors - any variation - just suggest getting one manual - you'll see the button is not only conveniently placed but you don't have to go to school like an auto. Plus you never really want to 'drip' with an auto batt as for it to work, the switch has to be unsealed and you could short it out if you either dripped on the atty or overfilled the cart. You'll see what I mean when you get one. That said, if you don't overfill and don't drip, an auto can be handy when typing or driving.

Marlboro tastes really good when I started and there's a reason why most ecig kits come with it prefilled - it's 'pretty good'. But after a month when my tastebuds recovered, it started to taste too sweet. In fact many ejuices started to taste to sweet and I started looking for others and found them at Decadent Vapors - now a line of ejuices at totally wicked.

Then just last week I had some puresmoker marlboro laying around and decided to try it and it tasted just like my first 510 experience - a reminiscence that was fun to have ;-) and I thought 'that's still pretty good'. lol

Best on ejuices when you start is Rule #1 - always get some ejuice in the same order as your first ecig! And then do samples, so you don't waste your money and begin accumulating a bunch of stuff you don't like.

Find some you like and get a few bigger bottles. Wait a month or so for your tastebuds to recover before making any large cache-type purchases. Find a few flavors that you know with absolute certainty that you could vape for eternity and then buy a bunch of it - there will be some form of taxation later down the line - who knows how big but it wouldn't surprise me if a 10ml bottle would cost as much as $50. Not that it would, just that it wouldn't surprise me if it did. I went through the SCHIPS tax on RYO tobacco which went from @$1 to over $25/lbs.

Most all new vapers want an ecig that looks like an analog (including me). The best idea would be to go ahead and get a big battery mod. The ones like the DSE 905V3 or Joye stick (I think they are coming out with a V3) or any of the mods sold by our great suppliers on this forum are all good choices. If vaping works to get you off analogs, you will be glad you got the mod. The benefits of a mod are that you can grab one or two batteries and be good to go for at least a day without worrying about a usb Passthrough or a PCC. The 14500 batteries give a great vape over the entire period of use. They don't start weakening right right after you start using them. The 905 or joye stick are not obtrusive. The battery portion fits in the fold of your fingers and is pretty well covered. You won't be disappointed if you go ahead and get a battery mod and if your nick is true, you will need a battery mod for a day of hunting.

To the OP... e-cigs are not a magic bullet to smoking cessation. Believing this would be foolish.

If you want a device recommendation, go with a 901 or 801 starter kit. These are available from several of the supporting suppliers of this forum. They are tried and true devices that work quite well. Use the device you purchase for a few weeks, keep a mental note of the things your device does and does not not satisfy. Use that list to base your search for a nw device, if that is indicated.

I have a 901 super mini starter kit with a along with a long 510 battery. Should I change the atomizer?

I've ordered a disposable 510 kit just in case that I might just hold on to, but will switch the atty if need it's a good idea to do so.

And also is there a list of vendors by area anywhere in the forum? I would hate to be tempted to go to an analog because I'm waiting for carts or something. I haven't tried dripping or anything yet, I just want to use carts for a while until I learn more.

The vapor drops off fast on stock carts. You can use them longer but with less satisfaction. You have to go slow to allow the juice to wick. I don't use stock carts but I think 10 might last me a couple of hours. Thats why those using stock carts top off frequently.

If you can scrape together some money you really need to buy some juice.

I must be doing it wrong, because I've been trying to have these carts last me the full day for each one.

I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and learn to drip.
