I have done this new coil and was still the same but I have only had this probelm since using the slightly higher Vg juices.
Before I think the e-juices were 40 Vg and
60 Pg I cant see that making a difference but I will give it all another clean out and put a new coil in and try the lower VG
juice again and just see what happens.
Thank you so much for your advice and help
I use the nautilus mini when I want something with a drop in coil (which is more rare these days as I use a kayfun 4 and build my own coils... and my husband uses the kabuki tank although it uses the nautilus coils, the flavor is much better than on the mini)
But.. I vape the nautilus mini around 10-11 watts, the kabuki at 11 watts is perfect (same coil) but I have those on provari mods (which are higher end) I DO vape 100% VG in them, with no difficulty.
I can put the mini on the 40 watt kanger mod set at 8 watts, but it doesn't vape on that device the same as it vapes on the provari (I don't know why) I get more dry hits on the kanger, and need to avoid chain
vaping the mini with that particular device unless I take some extra care, which I will explain:
What you need to do is make sure your coil is saturated prior to vaping a new coil.. two things here are to close off your air holes, and cover them up while taking a drag without any power going to the coil.. you will see little air bubbles.. do that a couple times, then give it 5 minutes, do that a couple more times.. let it sit 10 minutes, do it again. Keep doing that until there are no more air bubbles - and you can kind of taste your juice ... you need to have patience, as it will take a bit - 15 - 20 minutes usually..
Once there are no more air bubbles and you get the taste of your juice with no power going to the coil, then you can fire it up.. if you are vaping a lot, more like chain vaping, then every couple minutes close off the air holes and get that coil resaturated without putting power on it.. if you find that rhythm between saturating your coil and vaping, even chain vaping with 100% vg, you won't burn up your coil..
When the coil area starts seeming hot, then give it a break and let it cool down..
This is the only advice I can give you, its what has always worked for me..
ETA: this is a good video talking about how to prime uwell crown coil, but the advice is good for how to prime any coil.. patience is key:
