I can highly recommend flower, its different and very relaxing and just nice. And I don’t get killed all the time.

Do you all have head sets for your ps3?
There’s nothing worse than having friends on your games list that don’t talk.

Just added my jabra too mine last night but seems to slow down my connection...
I was looking into getting the tritton headset with mic but don't know if I want to spend another 90 bucks just so I can talk to people.

Any suggestions would be nice.

I’ve tried many headsets with mine but the jabra bt 125 is the one that works for me, it only cost me £12.

Check your nat setting it should be on 2 , that will give you a good connection for gaming and chat. 3 is bad , you can only get 1 if you directly connect with a modem, 2 is the best you get with a router and that’s good enough . You may have to open up ports on you router. You can find out on the web what port settings you need for your particular router .

OK some stupid questions

I have a PS3, but I have never played online, would it be worth it for me to get COD?

I don't know what a level 40 means, but it seems like I would be at a dissadvantage

Is there another online game coming out soon that I should get?

Is COD passed it's prime?

Also is it a FPS like doom or qauke or is it more of a squad based tactical?

Can some one PM me?

I really want to get into an online game, but I'm kinda out of the loop, its been 5yrs since my ps2 broke

Hi K, Call of duty 4 and world at war are both excellent games on or offline. There’s lot of people to play online on XBL and PSN they are both very popular games.

It really doesn’t take long to rank up online so don’t worry about it just have fun , the higher the rank the better weapons you get, but I’ve been through the levels and started again and I still prefer to use the default weapons. Its more a case of learning the maps.

Yes fps games are like doom, and the cod games are the same, but they look much better, he he. Offline you do have an AI squad but they just seem to do what they want, of course the real fun is working together with other players online.

If you would prefer to play co op then cod word at war is the one to get. You can play the story mission working together with three other players online. that’s quite nice.


You might want to get killzone 2 next week its out on the 27th on the PS3, that looks great and should play really well to.

No mate you don’t really need a headset, and to be honest the games I’ve played online with my PS3 most people don’t seem to have one. But I think its worth getting one , for team games with friends.
In my experience teams that talk win.
The big problem is that Sony don’t supply headsets with the machine, as with Xbox you get a headset out of the box with every 360 so more people on XBL will chat.

Lol dont worry about sounding gay lol I dont think anyone sounds the same over the net . but if you are really worried about it under settings you can either deepen your voice or make it a high pitch.

Its too bad that the different consoles can't play together online. I have several friends with a PS3 that I can't play with on my 360. I love COD5, just reached level 65 and thinking about prestige... if anyone plays on XBL please send me an invite.

Well I got cod4 over the weekend along with brothers in arms: hells highway. I just started the campaign in cod4 so it'll be awhile before I get my .... online, I tried it a couple of times and got killed within seconds lol. Guess i'm just used to warhawk, I got alot of hours on that bad boy. Actually brothers in arms has been keeping me occupied more than cod4, it's a pretty good game you guys should check it out if ya like single player campaign tactical war type games. I picked up flower also from the psn store, awsome concept & quite a relaxing lil gem that one is, I highly recommend it if you guys didn't check it out yet. Later...~Lane

The Playstation 3 is an overheating Linux computer with a gaming frontend by Sony. For a real games machine you need a Wiiiiiiiiii!!!!!

You could also consider the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, much more fun!!

You ROCK!!! I loved my Dreamcast!! Sadly I lost both of my Dreamcasts, the first my brother sold when he was very into drugs and the second my auntie threw away GRRR!! I had the Dreamcast keyboard and mouse, the Dreamcast Linux CD(unofficial of course hehe) but best of all my favourite games!! I liked Ecco the dolphin and the Sonic games(with all their glitches they still had some charm hehe) and it was the last Sega ever which made it even more special!

I still have a dreamcast I still play on mine from time to time. That console was so far in front of the times, online gaming 10 years ago. Sega really brought the arcade into in to the living room.
I have a wii also it never gets used, it is a fun console though.

My advise for online gaming is open the wrapper on the game stick it in your console and play it online from the start , sooner you start the faster you will rank up

I never heard of the mega drive

I had a genesis with the 2 add ons 32x and sega cd

I think the saturn came after that, but I ignored everything they did after genesis
