As I'm always working on films or other projects, I'm wonder if anyone else on these forums work on films as well?
I have a new project I'm working on, an I was wondering if anyone out there does storyboards?
I'm shooting a teaser trailer for my upcoming film called "The CREEPER"
If anyone would like to help, or know more about the project, please PM me...

Or if you want to talk about films in general, just post here :)

Well, I don't work on films, but I sure enjoy watching them. I guess my specialty is horror, but I watch anything and everything. What have you seen lately that you liked? I really wanted to see Black Swan the other day, but my sister doesn't like movies like that so we went to see The Fighter. It wasn't that great. Christian Bale did a great job, but the movie lacked focus.

Awesome. I grew up in the 70's and 80's, so those horror films hold a special place in my heart. The newer french horror films have been pretty good. High Tension, Frontier(s), Martyrs (although that one not so much), Inside, all pretty solid. I also liked the British film Tormented. So, what movies would you recommend that I may not have seen?

Ah, I'm a huge Argento fan. Susperia ranks up there on my top 10. I saw Fulci's The Beyond recently, but I wasn't as in love with him as Argento (even though he can't seem to resist casting Asia in almost every movie he makes). I also Demons, Trauma, sheesh, a bunch. I can't say that I *liked* Jenifer, but it was definitely disturbing as hell! I did watch Drag Me to Hell because Sam Raimi directed it (Evil Dead on my top 5 list). I love B movies like Shakma, Demon Wind, basically the ones that are almost comical!

Heh, yea gotta love Asia though ;)
The beyond is on my top 10 list! I've had that one for umpteen years ;)
My friend writes for Sam rami so naturally I like his films.. I had the opportunity to do audio commentary for a showing of the evil dead. tWas a good time

I'm a Friday the 13th junkie because one of my friends plays as Jason.

I'm a selective fan of Trauma films. Lloyd Kauffman is a better friend than a director I believe. He's one good guy!

Oh, I meant the Argento film Trauma (with that mechanical things that cuts people's heads off?). Wow, sounds like you have the insider track. I have to ask, you ever get to meet Bruce Campbell? I used to have such a crush on him lol! So, are you friends with Kane Hodder? :) I saw the orginal F13 in theaters. Well, I saw the first 3 in theaters, actually. I think that was the start of the third of the series being 3D (maybe Jaws did it first, I can't remember). Did your friend write for Raimi on Spiderman?

It wasn't that I disliked The Beyond, just I didn't like it as well as Argento. He really has style! He has some of the most beautiful horror films out there IMO. So, what was the deal with the blind chick in The Beyond? She wasn't a ghost (as proved by her dog), but she wasn't a normal human!

Hey, I bet you have awesome Halloween costumes! :D

She was supposed to be a witch. My friend is writing for him now. She only wrote portions of drag me to hell. Friday the 13th part 3 was the first 3-D film then Freddy followed. Yes, Kane Hodder. He has a new ghost show on TV. I really like the card player and suspiria. I've had that one for a long time as well.

I've been doing makeup and fx for 3 years now, so I have gotten to work with some pretty neat people. I don't dress up for Halloween ;) I never have time, that's my busy season for films, conventions and haunted houses.

And, yes, I have met Bruce Cambell.
Let's just say his acting is pretty much the way he is in person.
Kinda funny, kinda a ..... ;) but an overall cool guy.

Oh, wow it really is KH? Tell him I rented a movie with him in it just because he was on the cover, but it was horrible! Don't really tell him, of course :) You know, that's exactly how I pictured Bruce Campbell. I've been meaning to read his book :If Chins Could Kill." It's supposed to be really good. Where is Dublin in OH? Are ya all the way up north or closer to KY? So, that chick was a witch. Huh, what's up with the Italians and witches?

Yea it's Kane. Was the movie the Ed gein story? Or hatchet? I heard Bruce's book is funny. Dublin is real close to Columbus. Like 5 miles away. My bands played a few shows in Louisville so I know where a bouts you are. I believe we played at uncle pleasants. I have no idea what the deal is with the witches... But they use them a lot.

Naw, Hatchet was awesome. This was *Born*. Ok, the more I think about it, it was so freaking bad it was funny. Girl raped and impregnated by her brother (who is really a demon from the xth circle of hell). Her dad is her gynocologist, and the demon fetus makes her have sex with people and kill them. At one point, the dad cuts a flap in her abdomen to reveal a little cgi demon fetus that hisses at him and "slams" the flap shut lol. A better name for it would have been *Porn* ;) I know where you are talking about now. I had a good friend that worked at the Ashland Oil refinery in Canton. You can't even get a radio station to pick up between Columbus and Dayton! Is that why you are in a band? ;) I just moved from outside Lexington to Louisville about 6 months ago, so I'm still learning the area. I can't wait til it warms up and they have the 4th street live here.

Yeah, it was truly awful. Check out the trailer: YouTube - BORN - MOTION PICTURE TRAILER # 1 Was he still playing Jason for Jason X, cuz I really thought that one was good. I'm also not generally a fan of CGI in movies, but with that one, it really added to the movie, rather than detracted. I complain sometimes about KY, but it really is a cool state. All my mom's family is from way in eastern KY, so they actually ARE hillbillies. I like hillbillies :)

I'll have to check out that video. Kane was Jason in jasonx, I thought it was his best Jason role.
I'm from West Virginia originally so I guess I'm a bit southern ;)

I have a film shoot tonight, what a time that will be ;)

I found a music video I did, I think it's poor but I didn't edit it. ;)

So, is that your band? What's so poor about that video? I thought it was rather good. The vampire woman was a little funny, but I think I know why she's in there :) So, which one are you? I know earlier you said you had a trailer for the project you were working on. I'd like to check it out!

Yeah, I thought Jason X was a great reboot for the franchise. I actually bought that DVD. I don't know why it's not more popular! OK, your hillbilly street cred checks out since you are from West Virginia. That's the only state (except maybe TN) that gets made fun of more than KY! I have some friends in Beckley (sp?). Have you seen the movie "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia"? It's excellent (and I know people just like them!).

No, that's not my band. I just shot it. Haha. As for the vampire girl, I'm still puzzled about why she's there. ;) The band is 8lb. Pressure. They are friends of mine.
My band is called downtrodn , we play punk music.
I've never see that film. I'm going to have to check that out. Although, my hillbilly twang is gone, I still fit in when I'm in KY. Yes, I know where Beckly is. Not too far from where I used to live.

You don't know why the vampire girl was in the video? ;) I think it has something to do with her being half-naked and showing a lot of cleavage lol. I thought you did a great job with the video. If you love truly awful movies, you'll love Born! Then, next time you see KH, you can give him a little good-natured hell!!

I like punk music. Any vids or tunes of your band? If you can't already tell, I love to critique things ;)
