Any fixes for leaking mini vivi nova that I am not tried?

I fill this mini vivi nova with 2 ml liquid (usually 80/20 or 70/30). It then proceeds to leak down the center post, so I blow it out until it stops leaking. By that time, the level is down to 1 ml. After the 1 ml leaks out it seems fine.
Fixes I have tried: the center post was off center, so I pushed it to the center while on the battery and plastic tank in place. I also pushed the silicone tube from inside the tip down into the upper metal cap in effort to make a better seal with the silicone cap on top of the atomizer.
I also read about putting the lower cap with post (? and atomizer head?) in a vise to push the press fit pieces closer together and the post on center.
I haven't put it into a vise yet, but may do next. Should I take the atomizer head off before putting it in a vise?
Any other tips for a mini nova leaking at center post that I have not tried?
These atomizer heads have not been altered or rebuilt.

For one thing, there are a thousand Vivi clones out there so it's hard to give advice without knowing which one you have. The Vision originals are pretty bullet-proof, but any clearo will leak if you pour liquid straight down the center post. Try a real Vision mini and see if that fixes your problem.

If you look closely at the base of the Mini Nova you will see that the base is pressed into the knurled collar that the plastic tube screws into. If the base has come part way out of the knurled collar they will leak because things don't fit (align) properly at the top. Just press the base back up where it belongs and it will work fine.

The other thing that is common with the Nova is that when you remove the top to fill them, you will loosen the heads. You need to make sure that the atomizer is on tight before you put the top back on.

I will check this out when the nova is empty and I wash it (I hate to waste anything). Is it ok to use a screwdriver to press on the base?

I took the cap off and tried to see if it would spin tighter with my finger tip, and it would not. Should I try to use something like needle nose pliers?

I simply set the edge of the Nova base on the edge of my desk (just the base, not the connector), and push down on the Nova. When the base is all the way in, you should not be able to get your fingernail between the base and the knurled collar.

Thanks for putting up the photograph!
I did this around 4 times, rotating at 90 degrees in between the downward pushes. On one push, I heard a tiny click. So I am thinking this may have been my problem. Going to top it off to 2 ml now and see what happens.
