I feel like we've never made any progress. Ever!

Nicotine by itself is addictive again?

We spent 2 years that I know of dispelling that myth.

And how does one administer nicotine therapy to a psychological or neurological disorder with 0 nic?

Something went seriously wrong in this thread.

Seriously, seriously wrong. Seriously!

This is kinda helpful me as I didn't know what a wax vaporizer was either.
While I was still rolling my own and lurking here before I signed up, I moved to MD.

Dad was rolling his own, so had him show me the local shops.

One place was basically in a back alley behind a garage.

It was a front for a head shop.

All dad knew was they had vaping gear.

I was eager to ask about this prothingy and maybe hold one.

Until I got there.

I received a brief education in a whole lot of other gear.

Then I reluctantly learned how to turn a pressure cooker into a pipe bomb filled with ether and placed on the stove to make your own... stuff.

When I got home with my newly found awareness, I was "delighted" to find out about this new, odorless, undetectable way teens were partaking in other stuff.

It was plastered all over the news for a while there.

It's better than picking up a cigarette and lighting up.. but it's NOT taking a vitamin. How bad it might be for the health of a non smoker - never smoker, we simply don't yet know.

Vitamins are even bad for you if you dont need them. Look up the side effects of Vitamin (insert letter here).

The human body is complicated. We dont yet know the effects of all this, all we can tell you is that we 'feel' better than we did smoking. The large majority here are using vaping as a smoke cessation device.

My local vape shop however has taken a different approach, they have a sign that says 'Vaping is a hobby'. The vaping crowd is really split into 2 major categories. Those who do it to quit smoking and it goes no further. The second category is those who do it to quit smoking and go insane on mods (like me). I have spent too much money on gear. WAY too much. Im using $500 in gear in my current 2 mod rotation.

Menthol in cigarettes actually causes numbness in your lungs, which in turn causes many who smoke menthol cigarettes to hold in the smoke for longer periods and inhale larger hits. Your body doesnt respond to menthol in cigarettes the same way as non-menthol cigarettes, that is, sending a signal to the brain that 'hey, slow down, dont hit this as hard, its irritating'. This in turn, because the smoke goes deeper into your lungs and is held longer, increases the chance for lung cancer, so the 'experts' say.

We are not doctors. Most of us have never even played one on TV. I would not take medical advice here. Most of us can only tell you that ALL of the negative effects we were feeling when smoking are gone. We used to be able to say vaping was cheaper than smoking, but I dont think we can that ;).
