Any idea why I keep getting that horrible burning taste?

Ohh, i have forgot the absolute king amongst the clearomizers. EGO CC. Same tight draw like CE4 but boy that thing vapes and gives flavor like a beast. I had it for couple months as a backup since i have switched to Genny's in the meantime, but i would always ended up surprised how much of a vapor and flavor that small clearo can give. Only problem is, the vape is not so cold as it is with EVOD glass or Protank mini 3. It's not warm like some other atty's bu it's definitely not so cold.

There's no shortage of small (or medium) clearos out there if you want to try some out.

If you really like the CE4 type ones but don't like the shortfalls (dry-hits or low power) there's other choices to.

iClear16 was better (although still not 100%)
iClear30S was tight draw (and a bit big)

The new Endura tank (also Innokin) could be set low on a variable power mod and beats both those two mentioned above. You seem to have dismissed it (as your hubby uses it?) but maybe it just needs less power. The design should suit low power, tight draw (mouth to lung) and because it's cotton should soak up liquid nicely and not give dry hit.

I agree the K1 is a great atomizer. Keep a spare one around just in case
