Got an eGo-V coming, not that I need it but thought it would be fun to play with.
A BIG Thank you to all us on ECF that buy from Wizard. I actually got my order today from them. I called and thanked them for rushing it out. Told them they have ALOT of good folks on here that buy from them. Johns wife says THANK YOU.

I just thought I would mention that I picked up a vivi nova at the vape meet in Chattanooga and I just rewicked it with hemp twine... well, I am still using the vivi nova with hemp twine, and it's still great. I picked up a vivi nova head from mesh mods. It is a 1.8mm preoxidized 400 mesh wick with 28 awg kanthal modded to a vivi nova head. I can't wait to try it out, I get frustrated when working with mesh and I don't have time to mess with it anymore, so this seemed like a no brainer. it was like 7 bucks.
I got Vape Mail today, lol. A LONG awaited delivery of a CVI Set and an extra head from a CO-OP. Also got a Custom wrap for them From JWraps.
Unfortunately both heads are malfuntioning, lol. Dang the luck!@

Well So far So Good on the CVI repairs. There are 2 guys working on Fixing the SH**** assembly of these units we got. Hopefully I'll have 2 fully functional CVI's back next week.
Well, I got some vape mail last week. An AGI tank/dripper and 2'X2' of SS 400 mesh, my first at doing SS mesh. and well, I learned I cant build a SS coil. Going to give it another try this weekend. But I am still using my Carto Tanks and Clearo Tanks. Next vape meet I can go to I hope some one can help me if I don't get it by then.
Luke, it is something that will take a few times to get it down pat. but once you do it's not that bad, lol. The Coil is the main thing about RBA's. fiddlimng with the coil will be the test, lol. Don't be affraid to take the coil off and redo it. Once you get one working, DON'T TOUCH IT, lol Just vape the h*** out of it,
Watch the you tube on Coils by Peter k. He uses a Machine screw 3/32 size to make his and it's ALOT easier to do.
I have seen the Peter K method, and I will have to try that on my next attempt. But my attempt today proved successful, I wound the coil very tightly this time. I am vapping on it with much better results. No more terrible taste. The only thing I have a problem with is that there isn't as much flavor as my bottom coil clearos. Maybe I needed to use 500 mesh. or smaller gauge wire (using 32 gauge kanthal A-1). It's a 1.6 ohm coil with the wick having a very small pin ole in the center.
If your using a 50/50 mix, then might be worth it to get 500. Thats what I use now. Also might want to switch to 28ga wire. Are you using a regulated device? If so then try to get yours around 1.3-1.4ohms. How many wraps at 32ga? Also is your Wick TIGHTLY Wraped? Wrapping loose wick will deaden the tase some also.
I'm sold on #400 mesh as the best balance of wicking and flavor. It takes a few ml of vaping to get the wick conditioned, but once you do its fantastic.
Well I got my Baby's back today. They replaced the Bad Heads with red ones, but I got Custom wraps for it anyway, lol. Hittting like a freight train now, lol.
I did wrap it tight this time, its a 4/5 wrap. I should have made it 3/4 wrap to get it to a 1.4 ohm coil, its 1.5 ohms right now. The taste is getting a little better, but I only have 2 ml's through it (I use my eGo at work unless I am at my desk), maybe like vpsi said I just need to break it in by putting a couple tanks through it. I am using it on a VAMO at 8.5 watts or 3.5/3.6 volts.
I thought you knew about the breakin period. V is right. It takes a tank or 2 to get RIGHT, lol
Well, I watched a lot of videos and learned what to do, but I guess I didn't do enough research for what to expect after you get a good coil built. Thank You so much for your help Fox! and you too vpsi. I think my first 3 attempts at wrapping the coils, it was too loose like you said. But this one not only looks good as far as the wrap spacing but doesn't have any hot spots. I just thought it would let flavor through right after it was setup correctly. Learning a little every day. One of these vape meets we will meet up again or at a new vape store.
I have like 100ml of samples on their way...I'm REALLY freaking excited about it...ordered on last Wednesday shipped Thursday and I'm HOPING they'll be here Monday or Tuesday.
