I was wondering this too. The longest I think I have seen is 2 years, most people seem to be either around the 6 month mark, or 2 months or less.

Agreed Annah--Longest I have scene on the Boards is about 2 years. I am at over a year. I do not think you are going to find anyone that has been vaping five years, but I could be wrong.

i've been vaping for 7 months, on a tight budget however... i was in college when i started in february. i saw an ad for njoy on some website i was on, and the whole electronic cigarette thing really intrigued me, so unfortunately without doing any research i ordered an njoy npro (rn4081) and it was GREAT, i stopped analogs the day i got it and the 2 batteries and single atomizer lasted me until june without ordering replacements (which was WAYYY longer than i expected after doing research). but since then i have been using a dse801 with manual batteries which has been treating me extremely well.

However,i have not been reducing my nicotine intake and last week all of my equipment failed so i smoked analogs for about 5 days straight and it was very unfortunate to say the least. but now i got my large order of juice and equipment in and am planning to stock up hardcore since i got a new job, as well as tapering off my nicotine intake.

As far as health benefits go, i was out jogging and working out after about 4 weeks, which was great (mind you, i'm only 22 and still in good health)... i am fearful of an all out ban on our pv's though, maybe i'll move to the uk haha, but in general, my experience with vaping has been amazing, and took little to no effort to essentially quit the analogs except for the occasional slip up.

One WHOLE week and 7 hours for me. After I got my PV I didn't have any desire for another cigarette. For me, this is an abject miracle. I was a heavy smoker for 42 years. This e-cig gives me all the enjoyment of 'smoking' without all the evil effects. I now can see some future for me instead of feeling sick all the time. I feel so much better I can't believe it. Can't wait to see how much more I can improve. Smoking was unquestionably a bad habit, but PVing is a good habit, right? :) Guilt is gone too! I'm weaning down to 0% Nicotine. There is no doubt in my mind I'll never go back to that stinkin tobacco habit! Yea! :D

I hope my story is an encouragement to ALL smokers who think quitting cigarettes is as impossible as I thought it was. The PV makes it easier than easy!

I just passed 2 years the other day from when I purchased my first e-cig. It was a NJoy NCig (Pen Style) from a small smoke shop that had a big sign out front "ELECTRONIc CIGARETTES SOLD HERE". He had a sample out for people to try - I kinda liked it - I picked one up. The maroon color one.

It has been just over nearly 2 years I'd say since I've had a regular cigarette, other than when the clove ban went through not too long ago - my wife and I both had one after it went into effect to be rebellious - but neither of us could make it all the way through one! lol

Anyway, the main reason I decided to most definitely stay with e-cigs is that my seizures stopped after about 6 months of using them.

No - I don't think that e-cigs 'cured me' - but I do think, actually my Dr. told me that quitting smoking is what stopped my seizures altogether because of chemical conflicts with my meds and such.

So, e-cigs have allowed me to change my life basically and I'll never go back. I liike vaping and will continue to do so most likely. I've had no ill side effects that I can tell. I still breathe easier than when I smoked. I have not re-developed any sort of morning cough or anything I can tell, and I have honestly tried to pay attention to my lungs and overall health.

I've not made any real diet or habbit changes other than vaping, so I would say - that at least up to the 2 year mark for me personally there are no ill effects from vaping.

Take care,
- Hap
