Any of you guys switch BACK to clearos after using RBAs/RDAs?

I am using both but as was said before when I am on the go I use a VVV carto tank or a Phoenix clearo...especially when I go out because they are plastic & light weight...I don't like the heavy feel of most rba's.....not as easy to carry around....and real heavy on the neck strap.....but when I need that big hit with all of the flavor and more I sit down with an RBA/rda and get the "Hit" kind of like a smoke break....

I use RBA's and cartotanks. When I switched to RBA's, that's all I used for probably 3-4 months. Due to my lifestyle (work, kids, kids sports etc) the cartotanks are very reliable with minimal effort. I use both like I said, but I have slowly gravitated back to cartotanks as my work horse set up.

Thanks everyone for your replies! This thread has opened my eyes!

Personally, I probably won't EVER stop using kayfuns, but I have grown quite tired of RDAs.

I really enjoy the tank setup, always have, and I'm not into cloud blowing or competitions. I vape simply for my nicotine intake, and for the flavor. While RDAs do provide amazing flavor, RDAs are quickly catching up.

Speaking of catching up, the Nautilus devices seem to be pushing clearos to new heights, sort of like pro tanks did a year or so back. It makes me wonder.....how far vaping will go in 6 months? 1 year? 5 years?

I picked up my first e-cig in 2009...and my oh my how vaping has changed. In fact, vaping is growing and evolving so quickly, you can chart exponential progress being made almost every MONTH. I don't just mean new designs, I mean better technology.

The issue for me is: While I DO enjoy building coils and wicks, sometimes I want to just vape continuously without having to worry about building. Once a clearo comes out that performs AS WELL as my kayfuns do, I might just invest in one and use it along WITH my kayfuns. Then again, will I really want to go back to buying atomizers? Will they ever be as good as the coils I build myself?

Never really moved away from clearos in my case. I use RBAs and clearos daily. Love clearos as I can just unscrew the head and pop in a rebuilt one. No need to take out the kanthal, tweezers, scissors, screwdrivers, etc just to change the head. About one every 2 months, I rebuild all the heads.

Thanks for this post. You clearly articulate the reason I made this thread in the first place, and why I still think of clearos from time to time (although I haven't gone back).

I don't miss clearos, per se. I don't miss the "hit or miss" of them. I don't miss the gurgling, the leaking. I don't miss buying coil heads that are pre-built which often times are not built well.

What I DO miss, is the ease of maintenance.

As I mentioned in my post above though, it is a love and hate relationship. On ONE hand, I love tinkering. On the OTHER hand, I'm a father who between work and raising my son, has very little free time, and wants maintenance free vaping.

Like everything in life, it is give and take.

The new kid on the block is the Aerotank Turbo :)
I still use all my Kanger tanks. Like last night ... Hard day at work, homework with the kids and i needed to rebuild the Kayfun. I just didn't have the will to do it. So i grab my Aerotank Mega pop in a new head and i am vaping in seconds. I really like them for just this sort of situation.
