I only had one for about 7-8 months and never worried about it. Rob just never stops putting out new cool stuff so I finally succumb to temptation and bought a second grand for a backup. The only real "need" for more than one is the paranoia that something will happen and you'll be stuck vaping sub-standard junk until you can get it fixed.

I'd just recommend grabbing a couple of extra springs, bottles, orings, and post screws.....Maybe a rebulid kit and you should be good to go for the foreseeable future.

My son is not active on here but he has one metal REO, a Grand, and a home use only Woodvil.

He went for 2 years with just the Grand. No other vaping device.

There are other Reonauts that have gone longer with just one REO.

Not me. I have a few.

I think the universe would become so unbalanced that it might implode if YOU only had one Reo.

I have more than one because I am easily obsessed when I find something I like. I also like to have different juices readily available so until today I always took at least 2 mods (Reo + zmax) for flavor options and what would happen if there was a vaping catastrophe?? Today is the first day I have dared ventured out for more than a few hours with only one mod. I don't need more than one Reo, I want more than one Reo.

+1

My only thought on the subject of the number of REOs people have is they should have as many as they want that makes them happy. No one has the right to criticize the number anyone has be it 1 or a 100. I was considering getting another in December's next wood run but just may have my Woodvil converted to mechanical if Rob can do it. I always find myself trying what's new and improved but I seem to go back to the tried and true basic REO design....but hey...that's just me. ;)

Y'know, I only ever got 1 of any other device I've had (ego's, back in the day, being the only exception). Toppers, well, that's another story (hoo man).

I got a reo as a natural step in exploring what vaping has to offer. Something to add to the collection.

Then my OG reo grand (I call her "Duran") arrived and by the week's end, I'd ordered another. Several orders later (placed one this very morning, as chance would have it), I look at the desk in my vape lair (otherwise known as the sewing room) and see a bunch of one-off's and a collection of reos.

The reo has to be the most collectable mod in the world. Sure, provari fans often have 2, 3, heck even 4 units, but I can't think of another quality device (e.g., ego's exempt) that this many people have this many examples of.

Do people need more than one? Nope, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Yinsen, you can read all of these reactions to your question. They think they are telling you the reasons they believe they have one or more Reos. Really, none of it is true. They cannot come to the realization that they have more than one is because the Mod Master anoints each of his Masterpieces with the DUST!!! The dust is the reason. It gets on your skin, into your eyes, and eventually to your brain. AND, I love it. Just saying it like it really is.

Clinical studies have shown that the dust contains the Morereos Virus. It is treatable, but not curable.

From what I have gathered so far is most people that have multiple REO's is because they enjoy more than one particular juice and keep each one loaded with a different flavor. I currently have only one grand at this time. I am looking into getting a second one to have as a backup on hand, but in all honesty, this one is reliable and I only vape one type of juice so I figured a second one would only confuse me!!!

Hmmm.. see this gets me curious.

I get using 1 reo per different juice (guilty as charged, sir) - fill your boots as to how many of those you want.

>1 reo per juice is intriguing. Is it the variety of holding/using different devices for, say, aesthetic or ergonomic reasons? Different nic levels in each? Maybe you have one in every room in the house?

I'm up to four. After trying it I got paranoid of someday facing a vapeing existence without one. I'm currently in the process of giving away my China mistakes. And I have a Provari taking up valuable Reo real estate, it's waiting to have it's picture taken to join the classifieds. So great to read though that just a few replacement parts and I'm set!

I've been exactly 1 year now with a single REO. There are others in the family but I doubt I could pry it from any of their hands. It's such a flawless device, I can't imagine ever breaking it - even survived me installing the upgrade kit. The only mishap I had was a broken post on my only RM2 (that was my fault) that resulted in me having to drip an Igo-L on a telescope I had laying around for a few days. You never know how much you love your REO until you don't have it, trust me. Well, I fixed that RM2 and now have another as a backup but still only the one REO. I've got a B-Day coming up and think I'll ask for a new LP Hammertone Grand - Daddy needs a backup!! Plus it'll let me try out some of Rob's new offerings in the atty world.

lol

I have just one juice too. I guess with several different juices multiple REOs would be convenient but couldn't you have multiple RBAs instead? Ok...now I'm confused. JK

Like Dennis at least half of mine have unflavored nic.. But they do have different RBAs or coil builds. Then when it gets to the woods, which one of these could I give up

My "just one" lasted about... two weeks?

I started with a 14500 Mini. I was metallic green and it was Christmas so...

That one stopped using other stuff I had dead in it's tracks. So yes, it did solve the "no other mods" problem.

A couple weeks later a 2.1 Mini showed up in the classifieds. Welp, it's different from a 14500 Mini - and it was silver hammertone and that finish reminds me of the finish on the Bell & Howell 16 mm projector in grade school. You had to be there...

Then, then a VV Grand in black with a copper vein door showed up in the classys. I wanted VV so...

We won't even talk about "It's Woodville Time!" It just happened. I bought two. I love wood and every one is unique so you can feel strongly compelled to own your very individual Woodville for those reasons. Or two.

OMG! A TUMBLED SILVER VV GRAND! You know what happened.

I can stop - as soon as I get an LP Grand so I can try out more/different attys.

I can stop - can't I?

Well I did. I haven't bought any other gear but Reos. I buy 'em because I like the different sizes, colors and finishes. I buy wood because I love wood. I buy 'em because, with a bit of irony (good irony), I know I can expect them to all perform the same. It's fun buying a second Reo. It's not an angst driven, fussing over switches and materials and threading and voltage drops... purchase decision.
