some facts arrived at so far..

from a nicotone delivery point of view claims of one cart equaling twenty cigarettes are lies.. fact

these things are bing miss-sold.. they are not really suitable for a 20/30 a day person to replace their nicotine delivery system with.. fact

to do the above both atomizer and battery will need regular replacing.. fact

the cost and availability of both liquid and spare parts play a large part in the viability of doing the above.. some sellers are in essence charging way too much for cheap chinese devices and the fluid thats needed to run them.. fact

it is possible tho not easy to do the above (replace a 20/30) a day cigarette habit with e smoking.. it can also be done in a cost effective way fact

i have no valid informartion on the needs of placebo smokers.. what they "imagine" is unfathomable to me.. fact

from now on i only deal in facts..

however much different people have different feelings kate.. we really do need something that can be accepted as fact to work on..

the power of the human imagination is limitless but some things have to be accepted as fact at least until proven otherwise..

Trog - it's true this malarky can confuse the hell out of me as a newbie. It is hard to know as you state, what is fact & what is personal preference.

But somehow as one goes over everything a bigger general picture does emerge through ones foggy real cig smoked up brain...

Someone posted they like the 901 best and they said why. Someone posted they liked the bling best and they said why. I liked both their reasons based on my personal preferences and so I am going with both as a start.

Someone said they'd go for the janty - I researched that but that's beyond my means right now and there's still some stuff going on with service though I am sure the suppliers are going to sort that out soon. When I can afford it, it'll be my 3rd & final choice until 'the perfect e-cig' arrives. ( I think!!! This might change )
For me the perfect e-cig is going to let me vap away with minimum fiddling hours on end in happyland. The parts will hold out forever. The kick & vapour will be sublime. The cost might be big but I will save to own that one!

Meantime I'm just trying for the middle way. It's making me aware that although this e-cig thing is pretty good, it's still got a way to go. This is good for me - makes me more realistic & maybe I won't be disappointed because of this. Somewhere between everyones preferences I can see a way forwards. And it has helped me hugely to hear those preferences.

But facts are great too!
Spare parts are a fact - that was good to know upfront. I ordered some (prob not enough, but I live in hope!).

Guess what I am saying is that your inputs on this site are all relevant to me. Personal or fact - keep it coming please! (But if I have chosen wrong I am going to come steal your juice in the night! He he!) Just my take on it.

true.. but if i state something as fact thats pure unsubstantiated conjecture i deserve my .... kicking.. most forums have enough tech savvy members to do this.. this place is pure chaos cos as yet it dosnt have enough people who do "know"..

i "know" that the boring old 901 and some spares from a recommended seller is the best overall e cig for a newbie to start with.. but me knowing this even if it is fact is of no use.. tooo many others simple want to push whatever device they happen to have.. no body wants to admit they bought the wrong thing especially if they paid a lot for it..

if the site wants to earn advertising revenue it also has problems "knowing" what i know..

once u "know" there aint nothing to say.. nothing to get new readers and nothing to waffle about..

we are about to make some e smoking devices that will work all day from a battery point of view.. but they will still need dripping and regular topping up to work as we intend them to.. and a new atomizer every so often.. nothing can be done about that..

sadly it wont be cigarette sized.. he he

ps.. your spares wont remain your spares for long.. its not a one off thing.. its a continuous thing.. the only way u can have tooo many spares is if u dont like the device u have bought them for..

Trog, not everyone is the same as you, thank goodness. You appear to keep trying to present yourself at the voice of authority on esmoking but you do not speak for us all. I am glad to be different to you, I do not like your narrow minded categorisations and insistence that we all believe what you tell us to. Everyone finds their own truth, just like everyone makes up their own minds about the existence of gods, aliens and whether chocolate tastes better than bacon.

If you can't find the truth for you then it doesn't mean there's a fault with the forum or the other members here. We certainly shouldn't be held responsible for your confusion. i talk of the practical ability of a device to do simple things for any 20/30 a day real smoker who wants to come off real tobacco and replace it with an e smoking device..

Hey Trog, I have a coupon for an anger-management class left.

See, what Kate was saying is that the majority of the users here are not party smokers or something like that. I smoked 1.5 packs a day and had my serious doubts that I can change over to the e-cigarette. Well, with 2 starter packs 901 and one more later for spare parts, bottles of juice and carts in 50 packs I could do it. Sure, some wasted money here and there for a super mini or a Ruyan V8. Of course it would be nice to have a e-cigarette with a 12+ hour and a 2ml tank, no more need to carry the charger team and 4 batteries, carts and bottles around. But so long this device is not on the market I have to smoke some 901's in row.

Kate is a very nice person and we should not get into battles on personal level.
Just my 2 cents.

Kate, you are one of the more intelligent and articulate e-smokers using this forum. Note that since he joined, Trog repeatedly has attacked many intelligent people who post on this forum. He's fought with and called the very best people here his idea of nasty names (like "placebo smoker" and "wimpy" and "fool"). He's driven some away. I've had private messages that as long as the social misfit prowls seeking out fights, they won't post. Don't you join them.

Ignore him. Or hope he takes another long sabbatical or gets deeply involved in creating a bathtub-sized atomizer that can satisfy the special nicotine needs of him and his sons.

Thanks very much for the support folks. At the moment I have no intentions of going anywhere, I like it here, there are lots of great people and I'm still on an esmoking learning curve. Luckily Trog seems to have more self respect than to wage a vendetta so I'm sure we can both co-exist on the forum without too much trouble.
