Any other dippers converted to vaping?

I was Camel Light smoker for 15 years but dropped them cold turkey about a year ago. Unfortunately I switched to Kodiak and fell in love with dipping (had dipped on seldom occasion previously). The slow sweet buzz was in some ways better than smoking but it was obviously disgusting and inconvenient.

Starting vaping 3 weeks ago and so far I've been mostly dip free (only caved with beer on a couple of occasions). I'm just curious if anyone else is in the same dipping boat.

-Cheers!

I started with snuff before the analogs about 26 years ago...still bought the occasional can here and there...I am using swedish snus along with vaping currently to help get off the analogs...going on 8 weeks now.

Swedish snus is not fire cured like american snuff...it is steam cured and considered much safer.

I went through a pretty big snus phase a few years back. There for a while, you could get the genuine strong blend Swedish stuff for relatively cheap online. Then something happened with laws and such in the past year or so that made that more expensive at least, or outright banned in some cases (depending on the vendor and brand). The American brands of snus can't compare to the European snus so I've all but given up on it.

A good strong snus after a meal is good stuff though.

What vendor do you use if you don't mind me asking?

I started out on chew when I was nine thanks to my grandfather (32 years ago).. did that for a few years, then when I hit highschool, I started to smoke with my friends. After I graduated, I switched to snuff, then back to chew, and finally back to cigs... Then when my cigs hit $5 a pack, went back to chew or snuff, then low and behold, chew went to $7 a pouch..... Back to cigs(cheaper)... So I started to vape as a healthier alternative... Couldn't run for a long distance, wasn't sleeping well at night, and didn't realize I smelt like an ashtray till of all people my mother informed me of it... Not gonna give up the nicotine, just the other stuff in analogs, snuff, and chew so it's a vaper's life for me!!

They started collecting taxes * and the shipping went way up (UPS). The price on a local can hasn't changed much for me since the law took effect.

Most brands weren't "banned" they just have chosen not to follow the new labeling law (THIS PRODUCT CAUSES CANCER) and submit their brands to the FDA and can no longer be sold here. AFAIK only brands with Cuban tobacco content are actually banned. Even brands like Lucky Strike are legal here but licensing prevents the sale to the American market.

Northerner or GetSnus. I tend(ed) to use the strong mini portions (great for hiding in a "tobacco free workplace") or Loose while at the computer. Loose is soooo much gentler on the gums if you can get the hang of it.

There's a cigar shop a just a few miles away that carries General but I have a hard time paying $7 for a can of minis of General :/

*Keep in mind: if your state charges sales tax on an item you are supposed to keep track of all online purchases and submit the sales tax you avoided paying when you fill out your state tax forms. I've never heard of anybody who does this but you do need to be wary of any politician looking to make up for lost tax revenue that pushes for online retailers to collect and submit sales taxes to each state or we'll end up with every retailer having to jump through hoops like the PACT act requires... and higher prices.
