I started vaping almost 5 months ago and in that time I have learned to experiment and have really learned to love my new hobby. My most recent discovery was squonking. My first RDA was a Tsunami 24 and after running across a video about squonking with this particular RDA I decided to give it a shot.

I asked my go to guy at my local vape shop for his recommendation and he steered me to the Kanger Dripbox 160. His store didn't sell them but I found one on clearance at Totallywicked.com and picked it up for a decent price.

Using the Dripbox has convinced me that squonking is most certainly for me. I love the taste and vapor density that I get from my Tsunami 24 and with a squonk mod I don't have to worry about always having a bottle of e juice with me. No more dripping, just squeeze the bottle and squonk!

The only downside I've seen to squonking thus far, (for me at least) is the lack of regulated squonk mods to choose from. The Dripbox is a serviceable mod and it certainly does what Kanger advertises but it's a bit on the boring side IMO. The chipset that it comes with lacks the ability to switch between a soft, normal or hard hit like my Alien 220 and it has an issue with randomly leaking from somewhere and e juice ending up in the battery bay.

Anyone have any suggestions for regulated squonk mods I should consider? I've watched a few review vids on the HCigar and I love the looks of this one but I don't really want to go to something with a single 18650. I started to think that I'd try out a Lost Vape Drone squonk mod but it seems to show as either out of stock or discontinued on the US and Chinese retail sites that I've searched on.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or any type of squonking advice you can offer.

It does look awesome, but probably not enough to make me squonk. I just.... My skills aren't there yet. I'm glad the dripbox is working for you, and welcome to ECF. I'm sure more folks will be along with recommendations....

Anna
If I had skill I'd be using mechs and then there would be a plethora of mods to pick from.

You're looking into this just as all signs have been pointing to a squonk explosion. Only a scant few mass produced options right now, but it's looking like that'll change quick.
I've been hearing that for awhile. Id love to see a manufacturer come up with something new and really innovative. Keeping my fingers crossed

If you look around at all the popular regulated squonkers, find a few, and then go try to find someone that has them in stock. Good luck with that. Most all of them I have seen are sold out, everywhere. Everyone is waiting for new production runs. Manufacturers see that (don't think they don't watch trends). I will bet your going to see quite a few new rigs being rolled out soon.

I certainly hope so. Now I have to decide on a new Pulse or Dead Rabbit to start squonking with. My Tsunami 24 has been a great RDA to learn with but it's much to easy to over-squonk in single or dual coil set ups. Do you have any experience with either the Pulse (22 or 24) or the Dead Rabbit?

I'm not personally a fan of the Pulse 22, though that's not to say it isn't a decent atty. Partly it doesn't suit my vape style and partly I find the design annoyingly full of obvious (IMO) design flaws. That said, it can throw big clouds and can taste damn good, so if that's you're thing, it's not a bad choice. Oh! And as a squonking atty it's well done. Great juice wells and a splitter at the 510.

Plenty of 24 and Dead Rabbit users will be able to chime in about those.

Can't attest to the Dead Rabbit for swimming but I'm in love with it as a dripper. Easy to build, flavor and clouds are there.
Everyone who has reviewed it has raved about it. I'm leaning that way, especially since I can get a blacked out one. That rabbit etching just isn't me

I think mine will be a bit of a dissenting opinion. Lots of people thrilled with the 22. But there are serious issues with it as a single coil atty that seem to be addressed by the 24's deck, leaving the 22 in an awkward place.

Is it an air flow issue? I've read some reviews from people who complain that its too much
