Hey all,

love my reos.

not so in love with my aw imr's...pricey and to be honest for me personally I haven't seen them last long....I dont have anything to juidge that by just by pure guessing. I know they have worked great for thousands. post not about knocking them but its about finding a good alternative...I want to buy like 4-6 18650s...im drooling at the bit seeing 2 sony 30 amp vtc4's for 12 bucks but they are flat top...well if anyone happened to go battery shopping recently and picked up some decent button tops hit me up if you could.

I know rob recommends the aw imr's only. Please only posts from him as to why I should stick with him or educated posts from others as to why I should stick with the aw imr's besides rob says so :)

love ya all...even the rob says so peoples ! they still my reofamily...

Assuming you're using the 1600mAh AW-IMRs (if you're using the 2000mAh version, go get yourself some 1600s)...

If you're unhappy with the battery life provided by your AWs, you'll be slightly less happy with VTC4s. Their C-ratings (maximum amp draw capability) are almost identical (14 for AW, 15 for VTC4). However, in my experience, the AWs maintain a usable power lever longer than the VTC4.

Another thing to keep in mind: the 2/$12 deal sounds a little too good to be true. Make sure you're buying authentic batteries. There's plenty of sites out there (especially eBay) selling crappy batteries with counterfeit sleeves.

Hope this helps.

That must be why I preferred to use my AW IMR 1600 mAh's over the VTC4's. I purchased some VTC5's though and am quite pleased with those over the AW IMR's.

I also second FM on ensuring you are purchasing authentic batteries, that was one of the bonuses of getting the AW IMR's from RTD, word around the 'Ville is that the owner is a REOnaut and wanted to provide us with an affordable reliable source of these batteries. I purchased VTC5s from both Hyperion Vape and Vaping craze and both have been authentic. I can understand the apprehension on dumping money on batteries but they are the power source for your REO and are the one thing I will ensure I buy from trusted sources while still being budget conscious.

Im loving my LGDBHE21865.. 30 amp 2500mah 18650's. 6 hours they still show 3.8v on a .9ohm coil. Lucky for me I ran a coop for 300 of em for $5.25 per cell. Grabbed a bunch! It's another option for us. Original intent was for dual 18650 dna30's of which they work flawlessly there as well.

*edit*
They're flat tops as well.
