I dont think anyone thinks they are "BAD" batteries. They are perfectly good cells. But they are NOT true to their amp rating. It is a marketing ploy to get uneducated and uninformed people to impulse buy a battery they think has a higher continuous amp rating than it really does.

Here is a link to efest test graphs.
Test of Efest IMR18650 2500mAh (Purple) 2014
That is exactly my point those are not real efest batteries Wraith. That test was done using fake efest batteries. real efest batteries never came in a white box.
Ya know...I bet a could create a graph in Photoshop from these pics to show that my UltraFire ($1.50 a piece and been using for 8 months now) could also run my Dodge Dakota while pulling my 5K lb RV. LOL....get real.....Graph Charts?......
Like an earlier poster my battery background is with radio controlled airplanes, and I've witnessed some pretty spectacular battery failures over the years. $50 airplanes, $500 airplanes, $5000 airplanes up in flames in the blink of an eye. Pretty horrific from even 20 feet away, I wouldn't want to be holding any of them near my face.
To the OP, what are you hoping to accomplish by pushing your batteries beyond their capabilities?

So basically until you blow a hole in the side of your face by pushing 40 amps through a claimed 35 amp cell that has been proven to be a 20 amp cell will you then believe people who know more than you do. LOL GL my friend.Being a retired Aerospace Design Engineer and working next to Stress Engineers for the past 25 years I can say one thing. We don't believe Jack until it's in our hands and we've beat the crap out of it. It don't fly until we're satisfied. End of freaking discussion......for me.
Funny but that curve vs the LG curve looks identical to me. You are completely naive if you really think efest manufactures a true 35 amp continuous rated 18650 cell and there is no hope for you to learn or believe otherwise. Sad that you have been informed with all the statistical data you need, yet you are still in denial.

First and foremost you give a link to back up your claims that show stats using a FAKE efest, next you believe it like it's the Bible and you say that I'm naïve LOL. Well here's a free lesson for you. There are no true 35 Amp Lithium-manganese batteries, because after 30 you would need to use one-second load pulses, If you continue to run any battery over 30 amps under load you will reach the heat limit of 176 degrees, thus causing thermal runaway. Vapeing is the reason we are seeing batteries from manufacturers (including efest) that are passing the 30A limit, they are not intended to be used continuously but rather in short burst. So before you go around making everyone think you rode the short bus you might want to learn more about the subject.
How do you assume every test data sheet that shows the same results are ALL fake efest batteries? 2nd efest is rewrapping cells. like sonys and Lgs. I dont think I need to provide any more proof than has already been provided by myself and other more informed members than you. Burst or Pulse capabilites of a cell are not considered safe limits or ratings in the vape community. If you think they are you can continue to use them that way. Just dont cry about it when your hand or your face get blown off.
