I had a regular chuck. It uses the 18650. You'll for sure be taking a lesser drag lol, unless you're into coughing after every vape. I wasn't a fan of 6v. Changed all of my favorite flavors to much. And some flavors are just going to give off a burnt taste imo. There's nothing wrong with a chuck, it just wasn't for me. Maybe check out a bottom feeder like the reo grand of Kaji Ali. They will do both 3.7 and 6v, and if I'm not mistaken they are also vari volt, so you can try out 5 as well. But the added feature of not having to drip or refill but once a day, or every other day is the bee's knee's lol.

A kaji Journeyman. It runs on an 18650 at 3.7. Combine that with an LR atty (I use 901's) and it's deadly lol. I was a heavy smoker, and this suits me fine. To get 6v you need two rcr 123's(protected only!!!) stacked on top of each other. It's been a while since I used them so please check and make sure the rcr123's are the protected ones. You risk an explosion using unprotected batteries when you stack them.

rnrmanufacturing is who sells them if you wnaa check them out. The problem is there is a wait. But it's worth it.

I'm not really looking for gnarly throat hits (although I'm not afraid of it) I'm just looking for quicker drags. I don't like having to take long drags to get my desired hit.

It's one in the same. You don't have to take a huge hit off of it. But it's the best vaping experience I've had to date. Any device using a bigger battery and a LR atty is going to give you what you're looking for. But I can get a good vape in about 3 seconds. Any more than that, and you;re in the monster hit range lol.

Thanks for the input egar

I have tried 3.7v,5v and 6v.To me the GLV2 5v hits the spot. Its a nice strong hit,but not burning up your attys and juice hot like 6v does.

Just saw GrimmGreen's review (YouTube - THE GLV2 FROM GREATLAKESVAPOR.COM REVIEW). That button does look epic. The device isnt the best looking IMO but beauty is definitely in the Inside. He speaks of inconsistent airflow on 510s. Do you use 510s?

There are so many possibilites and combinations of juice, atty, cart, low & high resistance, voltage, etc. that is almost impossible to come up with recommendation, especially when one adds the biggest variable of all: our individual tastes and preferences.

In roughly 35 years of analoges, I stuck to Marlboro Reds and only tried other brands when I could not get them (used to travel a lot internationally for work). In roughly 8 months of vaping, I have changed direction at least a dozen times.

Now, I vape at both 3.7 and higher voltage depending on the juice I am vaping. I find the fruit flavors just do not taste at the higher voltages, whereas the chocolate/coffe/cake flavors at best at around 4.5 v, and the tobacco at 5v and above. But that is my taste.

I find myself best served by a variable voltage unit since it will always adapt to my needs. Especially now with the chance to run two batteries in series at 900 mAh, you can also get decent duration of your vaping device.

There are a lot of choices out there with more arriving every day. I use a Buzz and Big Brother which are good units if you want varialble voltage. I tried the Joker AV, and it sucked absolutely as did Vaprlife's customer service. It took them 6 days to get an answer back to me for a unit which was defective on arrival, at which point I decided to return it after getting lip from Vaprlife's customer service. Cost me $40 for restocking and extra postage because they only gave me 3 days to have the defective unit back in their hands from the moment I got a return authorization.
