I don't regret anything. I started with an expensive cigalike and worked my way up with 510s, egos, box mods and so forth. I enjoyed each and every step up the vape ladder. it's easy to say "I wish I would have skipped this that and the other and went right to what I have now" but if I had started out with what I have now... I couldn't appreciate it like I do. I learned so much with each and every device that I've had and used. I've sold a few things but I've also kept a few things and given away a few things.

When I started, eGos were the thing to buy and the Provari was just introduced. I knew I wanted (and would get) one (one?) eventually but I wanted to experience the ride up. Yes I've spent some money but this is my hobby (and I haven't bought any new clothes in 3 years LOL)

The "smoke anywhere" kit I bought was expensive and crappy but it got me started and interested.
The little 510 batts and attys were better and I was able to quit smoking using these.
The eGo batts were even better. I dripped in 510 attys while using eGos for about 6 months.
Then came the 3.7 box mods and cartos. I was thrilled not to have to carry around a bottle and drip.
The old goat box came along and it was fun to bottom feed.
The vv madvapes box mod made it nice to have regulated voltage. I used this every day for at least a year.
I discovered carto tanks.. learning how to use them and make them was fun too.
I bought the V1 lavatube when it first came out. I really learned a lot with this device. It was the reason I bite the bullet and finally bought a provari.
The vv Reo Woodvil was a nice device but it smelled of the wood/varnish that it was made of.. I couldn't use it.
I quit looking at regulated devices once I got the provari.
I bought another provari
I bought my first genesis rebuildable.. a cheap did clone called the vulcan.
I went nuts for highend genesis attys for awhile.
I bought another provari
I bought a zap and then traded it for a GP Spheroid.
I bought my first mech... an EA mod
I bought a moneypenny mech mod
I bought an Atmizoo Roller
I bought another provari
I got a kayfun lite and that kept me busy for a while.
I sold my EA mod
I traded my spheroid for another kayfun lite.
I finally got a Reo Grand and a RM2 (love it)
I bought another provari
I bought another Roller
I sold my moneypenny
I'm at where I am now. (plus and minus a few devices)

I regret nothing :)

I have absolutely no regrets!
Started with Blu and used it for 2 days while I cut back on cigs. Just wasn't a good enough replacement for me. Got a Vision Spinner and iClear 16 and never touched a cig after that. I've moved on to the MVP and beginner rebuildables like the igo-w and the RSST, but I still happily vape away on my spinner/iClear and sometimes attach a Blu cart to the spinner too. I did like their Java Jolt flavor, so I keep a few of them in my stash.

No matter what I move onto next, I will still always love my first setup. It got me off of cigs and I'm just sentimental like that.

I imagine we all have regrets regarding certain juice purchases. Man I've received some vile stuff. But that's part of the learning process too, so I shouldn't complain. I'm in about a month. Still with an MVP 1.0 as my mod. Bought a BCC Mega at my B&M store after my first clearos were used. I think I like wicked top feeders better. Lookin' at an iclear30 as my next purchase. Happy vaping.

My Smok Spinner 1300 is my only real regret, and that's a small one as far as regrets go.

I started with an eGo 650 kit form my local smoke shop. It had one battery, one clearo and a charger for $40, and their juice is $1/ml.

While this was far more expensive than I know I can get now (Kamry K100 kit for $36, or the MVP for $40), it was what got me off the cigarettes. The Spinner was a spare battery for that level of vaping, which I outgrew so fast that I think that battery only has three charge cycles on it... and while I thought it would wind up being a back up, I have the above mentioned mods and several tanks with a box of batteries.

No real regrets except maybe dropping and destroying my eVic less than a week after I bought it. I've learned that cartos suck but that they were good enough to get me off cigs. Moved on to many other devices and so far, all those that didn't work for me have worked for friends so they've wound up as gifts.

My regret is buying into the spin about Blu cigs. I actually wanted to order a kit for well more than a year, but wasn't sure it was worth.

They actually did help me quit, but knowing what I know now, it was the single biggest waste of time and money I've ever witnessed. I could have spent the same $60 that I spent on my Blu starter kit and get a decent setup and 10x more juice than you get in 5 Blu cartos.

I know people don't like knockoff eGo kits, for good reason. But they are infinitely better than Blu's, and less expensive. And at least they will get people in the door, unlike Blu's which leave people outside thinking "gee, looks warm in there".

My only regret is not buying enough juice when im at the stores pretty much. Since I only able to go once a week but im still new at this so im still gauging how much I need and all that.

All the cheap knockoff gas station ego wannabe kits that got me so frustrated have made getting things that work so much more enjoyable.

i know im going to get tons of hate from this, but i regret my provari and carto tanks. I wish i had gotten into RBA / mechs sooner. Ive thankfully already sold everything related to the provari and got most of my money back.

Other than that, probably DIY liquid. I see no point paying probably 100x the cost for store liquid when i can make it myself for pennies.

I think I only have two purchase regrets. Only two, because I found ECF before I purchased even my first kit. And the only two: because I read stuff on ECF that said "really good deal!" and "really good idea!" and ... not really.

One of them was that "cheapest deal on a Riva kit!" and being nudged by a fellow ECF member to get one, just because the price was so cheap. Yeah, between three of us we bought seven of those Riva 2 battery eGo kits. Three of them had one DOA battery and the rest barely made it to 90 days. First - and last time - I shopped cheap price, just for the sake of cheap price.

The only other hardware purchase that frustrated the (well I can't say that word) out of me was the E-Power. It was too new in the market, it was fickle about when it would fire and for how wrong. The control head was replaced on it twice, both times after the manufacturer told vendors they got all the bugs out of the new control head. It never worked right. Great device - if you only wanted a 2 second hit off a 3 ohm carto...

And the Tesla. Does it qualify as regret or is it just a pisser-offer? The fire switch just got wimpier and softer over four months. In the end, just rolling it back and forth on a hard surface was enough pressure to cause it to fire. If anything, I regret the fact that it's the only APV I have bought, especially for the price, that had such a short life span. Yep - it's a pisser-offer. I liked it. I did not like it's short life span.

Love the original poster's post.

I don't have any major regrets. Only been vaping without smoking for nearly 2 months.

Probably my biggest regret is not starting sooner. I've smoked for 16 years.

I've also had this discussion with a some experience vapers here in SA. One person said he regrets not getting his REO Grand right up front. I may consider getting one soon (am currently on PT2 and Vision Spinner). But after a while we both agreed that if one doesn't go through at least some "bad" equipment, you never can appreciate how good the really "good" equipment is.

My only regret is that I didnt start sooner.

Lol! Me too! Other than that - nope. Started with a Green Smoke kit (which I still *love* and plan to get a bunch of their Red Label cartos for once I've got some spare cash) and am currently vaping an eRoll which is really good.

2014 holds (at some point) an NZonic V5 with a Kick 2 and a KFL+ methinks :)
