For sure stelios, this is given. But the hybrids i talked about have something to do with temperature detection without the use of PCB protection. So they are unprotected in the usual sense but protected by some technology they use. I am no expert.

I study electrιnics (intermediate level) 30 years ago and Ι must be a little uninformed so I don't know if and how much effective is this temperature detection circuit.

Thanks Steve buddy. I am sure dspin will say exactly the same thing as us, if he chime in sometime :)

I AGREE Vinny, just got here

I have an opinon Imeo - MAKE THE PROTEUS to use AW IMR's - thats all you need to worry about. Same as others recommend them for their PV's - THEN if someone wishes to buy something else and it doesnt fit or work properly - Its their problem

I will say this - If Proteus was made to only use Efest batteries - I would not buy it. They just dont perform like a REAL AW IMR

Now people will have to make sure they buy the real thing. Only Andrew can answer as to who is real dealer, now they are coming with holograms on them as there are so many fakes all over the world.

have you tried both of them vinny? And if yes, why you say that aw are better?

To my opinion they drain faster and dont have the hit power of AW IMR's. When efest first came out, I tried them, they started leaking and I complained of the power of them.

I was sent new ones, which didnt leak as by then supposedly whatever was wrong was fixed. Didnt buy any for long time, then was told they made them more powerful, so tried them again. I gave them away as it were.

I gave away the trustfires after using them a couple times - they hit like a little girl.

Efests I used - 18350 and 18500

All graphs depend on whos doing them and what equipment/ Also motives must be questioned. I let my senses dictate. Also when pushed they heat up more than AW and heat up more on charger.

Most important of all is this ---------

When Proteus was announced, numbers given out, AW was said to be the battery that would be used. was suppose to be out that yr - HUNDREDS of people bought AW 14500 = COV sold out twice that I know of. Would make many people very unhappy that spent a great deal of money on batteries for Proteus.

To change battery now - is just not right.

Completely disagree. First it's not 100% clear that AWs are better than efest, particularly for 14500. Many people seem to prefer the efest. Second you need to factor longevity. What if AWs are suddenly out of stock for a long period of time or efest comes out with a much better version?

Doesnt matter if AW out of stock, those who are serious will buy 4-6 batts to begin with, and they would order them now, like tons of people did when Proteus announced

Yes that applies to most of us in here but many GG buyers aren't as obsessed as us. I've recommended gg devices to many newly converted vapers. Having 1 battery option only would not be ideal to say the least

Very narrow minded thinking

also, are efest any better than aw or there is no reason to make proteus 1mm longer?

Glad you think I am narrow minded - I stand on PRINCIPLE here on top of battery performance - Imeo said when Proteus announced - AW IMR would be used. You dont change horses in middle of stream, you dont change batts when hundreds have been bought.

On above quoted post - Imeo talks of making Proteus 1mm longer for Efest - He didnt say anything about both batteries fitting.

Now if AW's arent going to fit - then I am against it.

I'm not saying something has to change now but it certainly should be considered for the future. Let's just agree to disagree. I believe that as many people should be using gg products and having it being compatible to only one battery vendor is not a reasonable option.

I was going by what Imeo said - if he makes it to fit both - then all is well. If he makes it to only fit Efest - then many people who bought a bunch of AW's will be angry when they find out.

I think Otello answered for me.
Also let me just say that I prefer AWs batteries by far when compared to Efest. I've had all my Efest die out way sooner than my AWs but I'm not certain that this is always (or will always be) the case.

Dspin, please...
Are you assuming Imeo is so stupid to make Proteus 1 mm. longer and without an adjustable pin or whatever to adjust for shorter batteries? ;)

Well, if he was going to make Proteus to fit shorter batteries too, why he need to ask the question in the first place.

No reason to make mod for single firm of battery, unless battery compeny
Pay some of the development cost.

This days pepole want options in batteries and this are availble.
It was not the case when I first bought my provari.

My expirience with AW's bought from Provape (reliable vendor) were very good on provari,
And good on mechanical mods.

But there were not my best expirience as I allready post, and I'm not sorry that it's so.

I don't care for the brand of the battery as long as it give me what I want.

And more option is always the best way to go.
