Insomnia! It's been a few weeks now, and I still have trouble falling to sleep. Used to be able to fall asleep right away around midnight, and now I'm up til 2 or 3 am because I'm so wired.

I have been experimenting with vaping a lower nic juice (6mg) for a few days vs a higher nic juice (18mg) for a few days. Unfortunately, my lower nic juice was some DELICIOUS Manic Mint Chocolate from Mister-e-liquid and easier to chain-vape without the harsher throat hit of my higher nic juices, so I would vape it almost constantly. I don't think this has helped my findings any, haha!

I quit on 4/28/2013 after 45 years of smoking, and the only negative I have noticed since switching to vaping is a slight build up of mucous in my throat which is probably more VG/PG then anything else. I just gargle with hydrogen peroxide twice a day, on the positive I may still be addicted to nicotine but I can smell again and taste, and breath better and the list goes on and on.

The benefits of vaping are way ahead of smoking.

For me it was just headache (that went mostly away after i cut my nic in half) a little bit of dry throat/ cottonmouth and massive thirst-handled well with alot of water that is actually a good thing [i think i drank more water in this week than in the last 6 months]... the pro's: taste improved much, i dont stink, blood pressure went down, awsome flavors all day.. sounds like a win/win!!

Only side effect i had was a little bit of a sore throat. Only because i went with an 18mg juice to start off and felt it was a little bit too much. But after vaping for the first day my throat no longer seems to be sore. Might be going down to a 12mg juice since everyday went i start my day the first hit always hits a little too hard.

As a long-term ecig user, I can tell you what I have experienced in the past and still do. (Sometimes)

-Feeling thirsty or dehydrated. Drinking enough plain old water works to "fix" this.
-Unable to fall asleep easily. This happens when I chain vape too much before bed.
-Headache. Vaping at a higher strength or just over doing it.

Lots of people setting others up for failure with this 6mg if you vape a lot nonsense.

It all depends on your habits when you were smoking, and your body. Did you take your time and relax with a cig? Or did you choke down 2 in a 10 minute break? Half a pack/day or 1-2 PAD?

You need to take the time to learn the estimated value and what the veteran vapers recommend for your smoke habits. Dont assume the negatives are too much nicotine. It might be, but it is also just as likely to be NOT enough nicotine during the rough part of quitting.

Smoking a light cigarette for me personally is a 18-24 mg juice i would lean closer to 24mg to get that little buzz first thing in the morning, lol. Cutting down below 18 during your first 72 hours of quitting is just asking for trouble, but as DC2 said earlier, if you got this far... Keep it up =P
