Hi, I just now signed up because I have some questions.

I have never been a smoker, ever. However, I have just been vaping, with
zero nicotine for 6 days, cause I read (I think, maybe here) that vaping helps with anxiety attacks and I have been dealing with anxiety attacks for about 6 years. I could tell the first day that it helped my anxiety. I think it is disgusting and would never continue if it didn't help...but, it seems to.
I was wondering about a few things though. I have read that some of the side effects are dry mouth and lips, headaches, heartburn and dehydration.

Do those side effects apply only when using nicotine or with zero nicotine as well? What (if any) are the side effects with zero nicotine? The reason I am asking is cause I feel like crap today and I don't know if it is 1.) side effects that will go away after some time, 2.) completely unrelated to the vaping and I am just sick or something, 3.) or something (side effects) is wrong and I need to stop vaping completely.
The symptoms I am experiencing today are just generally feeling blah. Headache that has not gone away with taking migraine medication and Advil both. Scratchy throat. Chest hurts a bit, not enough to go to doctor for, but enough to know it is there. Itchy.

It is all pretty much things I wouldn't put to much stock into if I wasn't new at vaping and I just don't know whether or it is related.

Any additional info or advice will be greatly appreciated. I am just so uncertain about it all. It is not something I am wanting to do for fun or to be "cool". It really does seem to help the anxiety.

Welcome @Sapphire75

Some of the side effects you mention are related to vaping, not nicotine. Headaches are more nicotine related in my opinion.

It's hard to say. If you really find it unpleasant, I think you should find something else, maybe.

Most of us switched from smoking to vaping and got used to the 'minor' annoyances of vaping (dry mouth/dehydration) and it didn't last long. As for anxiety, I don't feel able to comment. Vaping helps my anxiety, but I use Nicotine.

I think we understand what you are saying by "It is not something I am wanting to do for fun or to be "cool". " - sure, you have made a good job of explaining yourself.

Good luck.

I vape zero nic juice and it does help me relax. I was a smoker and worked my way to zero. There is an adjustment to vape your body will/can have issues with.

Your symptoms could be totally unrelated to vape.

The itchy scratchy throat can be caused by the PG in the juice, or sinus issues from a spring allergy. It could also be from just getting used to "vapor". Dry mouth and dehydration are vape issues to get used to. VG can cause a heavy lung feeling issue, but so can a virus or spring allergy.

The headaches, in my opinion are NOT vape related as you are using zero nicotine. While it is entirely possible you have an aversion to an ingredient in a vape juice which can cause some of your issues your best bet would probably be to see a doc.

The only way to determine what the issue is to quit and see if your problems go away. We recommend ALL vapers stay well hydrated. You could also change juice flavors to see if anything changes.

Yes lots of water I too am on zero nic but I used to be a smoker- like stated earlier you could have an allergy to something in the juice myself I cannot vApe w anything that is over10 percent pg because of reasons discussed w my doc. Plus it just makes me terribly Ill . I had to cut out caffeine too and too much caffeine can add to anxiety issues too so that's something to consider, but if your symptoms persist please see your doc and discuss this with them I regularly discuss my vaping habits w my doc and we have made the appropriate adjustments. Doc's are good

I have been caffeine free for yrs, except for what is in my migraine medication. I am already on migraine and anxiety meds, have been on anxiety meds for about 6 yrs. I thought I would try vaping so that I can try to decrease the amt. of Xanax I take. I guess I am experimenting. So, far it is helping, not completely off Xanax but, there is some improvement. Like I said it has only been a few days so I am unsure of everything rt now. (I give up on personalizing the font...lol)

Okay, if you are going to start here are some things to remember:
1.) Vaping is not always the answer. (You guys can slam me later.) (Do not start smoking though!)
2.) It matters what you may be vaping! You may have an allergic reaction to the PG that is in your liquid. Please try to go with a higher VG.
3.) Now if you think it is disgusting either stop now or go to a local vape shop that is worth a darn and sit with them to test juices. Let them know off the start that you are looking for zeroes and do not want to use nicotine in your testing. Most places vape at least 3%.
As someone with the same problems it does help me and sooth me. i however use nicotine.
Please get help if you need it. Do not start if it is not right for you.
