Thinking about picking up a ego mini 450 mah from liberty and looking for an ultra small tank for it so I can keep in my pocket for sneak-a-vapin.
Best I came up with was this, if I am understanding correctly (newb here): BOGE F15 TANK CARTOMIZER 1 ML - $4.00 : VapeLite your source for Boge quality electronic cigarettes, Boge electronic cigarettes
From this post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/311208-anyone-tried-ego-mini-45-print.html (which seem to lead to cheerios being peed on so I don't quite know if i understand post correctly).
Is the 35mm the length from tip to bottom of thread, im guessing so? (thread would be inserted into mod and not considered part of the length if im understanding correctly).
Is this a "custom" cut down tank they sell? Seemed like the other places i saw Boge F15 part number listed higher volume than this one. Just trying to make sure i understand correctly being a newb and all.
Any other recommendations? I think if i understand the size correctly and is 35mm, i think this would be pretty suitable for my purposes, so anything similar length would be ideal. Not really concerned about how much liquid it holds as i could pickup an extra if needed.
Thanks in advance!

Hi

For vaping small amounts on the go, I like CE XL clearos. Some people have had leaking problems with them, but I haven't had that experience. They seem to like being upside down. I like them mostly because they come in a 5-pack, so if they don't perform as well as I like I don't feel bad when I throw them away. CE3 XL Clearomizer [CE3XL] - $8.50 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts

Back again: the product you link to isn't "cut down," the tube is narrower than standard tanks. The cartos inside are the regular sizes:

I believe your link is only for a cartomizer to fit in a shorty tank, and at 4 bucks a pop, that sounds steep to me. It's confusing though because they show a picture of the carto already in a tank, but all the description makes it sound like just the carto. You may want to make sure it's not just a carto before you order.

Here's a link to the the tank and carto from the other link you posted. http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/c46.htm

The carto is 35 mm without the threading and 40 mm with the threading.

For what it's worth, I have a couple 450 mah batts from Liberty Flights and I love them. They are compact and last quite awhile for their size. I also am using the Pro DCT tanks (ego diameter) and the XL cartos and the tank is almost exactly the same size as the battery. I could measure it for you if you would like. This setup works great for me when I'm out. Good luck!

Thanks guys for the info.

23skidoo, sounds awesome. Measurement would rock.

Will look into the carto thing too....only have experience with two tanks so far so its a new adventure that route. Not opposed ... just need to research some mo.

One other question: does that f15 skinny tank allow you to change the mouth piece to shorten it up a bit with a mini one? I know my kanger protank you can not switch but I have seen others that allow. That mouth piece looks like almost the same size as tank ;)

You're putting the drip tip/mouth piece into the carto, so any 510 will fit.

Checkout this shorty drip tip. Super Stubby Acrylic Drip Tip

450 mah ego with pro DCT tank, XL carto, and my drip tip (standard size delrin) - 5 inches
450 mah ego with pro DCT tank, XL carto, and NO drip tip - 4 1/4 inches
450 mah ego with an EVOD - 4 1/2 inches
450 mah ego only - 2 7/16 inches

You are going to need to make sure you get a carto with a resistance of 1.7 to 2.0 ohms that will fit whatever tank you choose. At least that's what I have found to work best for me. Anything over 2.0 ohms and the ego doesn't give me a good vape, but that is also personal preference.

Also, don't forget to get an ego ring to finish off the look if you go with a cart tank. Ego Thread Covers (the one called a "collar").

These links are just to show you what I'm talking about, I've never ordered from that vendor.

If you choose to buy the thread cover (aka cone cover, sleeve, skirt, whatever the vendor came up with) from another vendor, these are the correct size names:

The "Cone" pictured (in the link) is a size "A"
The "Collar" pictured is a size "D"
The "Flare" pictured is a size "C"

Thanks Ocelot, I couldn't remember the proper names. You rock!

I hate it when vendors come up with proprietary names. It's like I have to go through a vaping thesaurus in my head to figure out what to order.

ETA: There is also a size "B" that looks like a "D," but without the little lip and air grooves. Since it doesn't have the lip, it doesn't give the set-up quite as finished as appearance, but it can be used to restrict airflow with some devices.

This is a "B" on a 650mAh eGo with a 19mm (diameter) XL (takes 45mm cartos) tank from IBTanked.

I recently bought some size D (or so I thought) from Fasttech that don't have the little lip, but have the air slots in them. So it seems they come in all different little configurations. cheap as dirt though, so what's a little lip among friends? :D

It's probably a size "D." I had a friend that was ordering form Fasttech and I seem to recall I couldn't find a "B" on the site, but there was a "D" that looked like a "B" in the first picture of the Fasttech listing. Oh yeah, that makes sense.

ETA: you have them already? That's interesting. No lip, but air grooves. Hmmm... does it look streamlined?

Haha, I'm learning to look real close at pictures on websites and read all of the descriptions, but sometimes I'm not as thorough as I should be.

Yes I have them, and they look fine to me, but no more streamlined than the others, IMO. I seem to be unable to post pictures on this site or I'd post one, but every time I try to post one it says the file is too large, so I've given up trying. Fast tech took 3 days to ship the items I ordered, and then it took 9 days in shipping to get to me. Really not bad for the price if you know it takes longer when you order.

Are you posting directly into the reply box? That's what I do. I had problems with the image function in the bar.
