In my opinion, cignot.com offers the best deal on a starter kit, the joye 510. Comes with 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 prefilled cartridges, and the charger. The no-box model costs $35, you're basically getting 2 full ecigs :) spend the extra money on some nice menthol liquid to refill the carts (do a search on the forum and you'll find lots of reviews). Apparenly menthol and the 510 are a great combo.

I'm a 3-piece PV user myself.. but I almost always recommend that folks get a 2-piece for their first unit. Then, if they don't like the vapor production or want something a bit "more", they can move on to a 3-piece design.

That being said, if I were you I'd go to Vapor4Life and pick the right starter kit for your needs. I'd go with a couple of their different menthol blends.. and I would also try the Steve's Smilin' Menthol in VG.

Vapor4Life has a sub forum here.. and the folks are quite helpful.

Just my Humble Opinion, but I think the 2-piece (cartomizers) like the Cig-Easy KR808d-1 is the best (and most economical) for someone who wants tons of vapor & flavor, ease of use, reliability and to save money in the long haul. I can buy 5 cartomizers for $7.99 @ Cig-Easy... whereas I would spend $50 (or more) buying Atomizers for my other systems that I own. (4081s, M401sm 402s, & more.. lol) Cartomizers are easy (and less messy IMHO) to refill (once you know how... and there's tutorials on this Forum & YouTube) if you'd like to see how easy it is ....
You can get a complete starter system (with e-Juice!) right now from Cig-Easy for around $40 bucks here:...

Electronic Cigarettes from Cigeasy - Home of the Easy E-Cigarette

ITS EASY TO GET STARTED!

YOUR EASY STARTER KIT COMES WITH 2 BATTERIES IN YOUR CHOICE OF SEVERAL GREAT NEW COLOR COMBO'S ! IT INCLUDES A USB CHARGER AND A FIVE PACK OF BLACK EASY CARTOMIZERS IN YOUR CHOICE OF FLAVOR

***The Easy is the lastest model ecig KR808D-1. Also known as Vapor King, Nebula,Vaperello,DPVP9, Fusion, and Zeus. The Easy is the long battery model and is the same size as a 901 or 510 with the Cartomizer. It provides the best performance in vapor production and longevity!

I am the same. 1/2 pack a day, menthol smoker.

I read this board for a week, and decided on the eGo. That was $80 + shipping, which includes:
1 eGo/Dura Atomizer
2 651 mah batteries
1 atomizer cover
1 wall charger
1 usb adapter
5x prefilled cartridges

I ordered a pack of extra attys to come with it cause I heard that it's a good idea to have extras while learning. The eGo comes with one (and a warranty), but you'll need another while waiting for a replacement if you should need one.

Then I ordered 2 30ml juices from Misty Stix of different flavors/nic amounts.

Over all, That should have me set for at least a month, when I may get other juice flavors (and should know what nic strenth is best for me). The battery for this is getting rave reviews, and I'm confident that one battery will last me all day.

Good luck!

All good options...I started with a 2 pc and think the better vapor and flavor of the joye510 would have really helped the transition as I struggled a bit in the beginning. Although they are a fair amount less user friendly than a 2 pc, Kristins guide (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-you-ever-wanted-know-about-your-510-a.html) can get anyone going on a 510. Just me 2 cents...

My wife and I found the 18mg nicotine level to be right for us to start, but you'll have to experiment and find whats right for you. Good luck!

Nic strength is quite a personal preference, so it may be good to try a few different strengths to see what you react to the best. Cignot's prefilled carts come with Marlboro high, which is 18 mg, so it's a good reference point. For me, this level gave a very strong cigarette-like hit, but was too strong for me. I'm currently on 6 mg low, but I smoked under 5 a day. See how you like the 18, and move from there. 24 seems like a popular choice for heavy vapers here.

Again, the ladies at cignot have THE best customer service I have ever experienced online. I would highly recommend that no-box kit, it's a great way to get into the hobby. :)

Did you ask what's the difference with the Atomizer built in?

Well, generally price & performance.

I (personally) feel the 'cartomizers' (these have the atomizers built in) cost less and perform better. (At least they perform consistently better for me based on my experience). For example, If you buy a starter Kit with FIVE cartomizers (standard with most Kits) then that's like having FIVE Atomizers. Five Atomizers with most 3 piece starters would cost you anywhere from $50 to $100... depending upon where you purchase them.
I've had Atomizers arrive BAD right out of the Box... but I haven't had a bad cartomizer yet... (knock on wood! lol)

This is just 'my humble opinion'.....

Don't get me wrong! I love some of my 3 piece systems! (and I own many!)... My RN4081 NJoy NPro, in fact is my FAVORITE!...but! for MOST People who are looking to save Money, who want ease of use, along with tons of vapor... the KR808d-1 is the way ....:)

While I don't disagree with you regarding the 2-piece system....

$50 to $100??? 510 style atomizers run about $8/ea. Rarely if ever do they cost more than $10/ea.

I don't buy 510's... I buy RN4081's mostly... some sources 'try' to sell them for $20! honestly!

and even at $8.00 a pop per atty that same $8 will buy you a five pack of cartos.... so c'mon Scottbee... cut me some slack here! .... ;)
