any thoughts on 18650 hybrid battery?

Has anyone used the 18650 hybrid batteries? I've only seen them at nhaler, but i'm sure they're offered elsewhere. I ordered two, and they came at the standard transport voltage of 3.7v. I slotted on in my vw device, in place of a straight lion (ultrafire 3k mah) at around the same voltage, and the hybrid nearly blew my head off. It was like vaping a full 4.2v IMR or lion. I have to say, i am extremely impressed with these batteries and look forward to seeing how they work at the bottom end (the lion and imr wont vape at high wattage (12,13+) fully below 3.4v).

Thoughts, experiences, warnings, anyone?

I've used these batteries and they are very good but at 4.2v I don't notice them being anymore powerful than an AW IMR 18650. I wonder if your VW device is detecting the correct resistance.
