Empire mods has this on sale for $21: Deal of the Day as of this post. I picked one up to play with.
Negative screws are too close to the wick holes.
Hey! That's cheating! Clearly not mesh wicks!
... actually... what are those?
Interesting thread indeed. Think I have to keep an eye on the ceramic/strange wick crowd.
@elCruz: Are you having problems with over-wicking like Myk? He's running SS rope but I'm about to change over to ceramic so...
No, don't think so. Consistent juice flow till about the 1/4 tank mark then have to tilt a bit more. I use 50/50 juices mostly, too. Alumina Oxide (white) wicks a bit faster than fc2k (grey) wicks also. To be honest, never heard of "over wicking" on a Genny tank... But I'm sorta nOObish

Decided to make mine permanently single wick. Dremmeled down the lip along one of the wick holes for easier access and shaved down the neg screw a little. Since the lip air holes was not perfectly aligned with the wick, I did not need to drill out a new air hole for single wick use, now that the lip is gone on one side.
The extra large wick hole seems like a double edged sword. With so much wicking material, you're bound to get residual heat when done vaping. Which leads to condensation build up. Mine is always leaking out some hole or the other. Could use a straw wick or such, but that sort of takes away the benefit of more wicking material.
To be honest, I'm not overly thrilled about this atty. It works, but there's "something" hard to specify that makes it less of an atty than my ordinary Aga T's. Its not bad... guess it's just personal preference.
I'm with you on this one. Stock, the TD kind of sucked. The draw was too tight and the excessive height of the deck rails would cause liquid buildup which led to an irritating whistle, then gurggle and then eventual clogging. I've now set up mine single coil, put the extra deck screw in the fill hole , shoved an AGA-T insulator into the second wick hole and added a washer from a Steam Turbine Clone onto the center post. The insulator in the wick hole still leaves enough room for needle filling and the washer shortens the positive leg distance. I also sanded the inside of the top cap and removed one of its o-rings, because the fit was too darn tight. All that along with a bored-out air hole have together amounted to a decent vape so far. But what a PITA! I likely wouldn't have even bothered with all that had not my RSST and Fogger and now 2nd I-Atty all crapped out on me in the last week. I have only just now allowed myself to realize and conclude that for all the dollars I've spent (let's not say "wasted") on these far-less-than-perfect devices I could right now be happily taking turns puffing away on a Russian and a Squape. Or some such pair of expertly crafted atties. But it's the journey, right?
How did the RSST crap out??? How can any RBA crap out?
