I modified my 901 batts by cutting a groove through the connector to use cartos. I don't have actual KR8 batts. Sometimes with a certain cartomizer and a certain battery, I'll get a bit of a whistle. Is this the noise you get? I loosen the carto a touch and it fades a little.

I got blank black cartomizers at vaporkings.com and eastmall.net.

The carts I've got have 5 small cut-out grooves where it meets the battery ...... and the sound is more like a "ssshhhh" than a whistle !!

how funny! Just last night my husband was standing behind me vaping away on his KR and I was thinking....man that noise is driving me nuts!!!

Cig Easy.... Electronic Cigarettes from Cigeasy - Home of the Easy E-Cigarette Great prices on carts, has blanks and a few 100% VG carts. Plus some pretty nice package deals on blanks and juice. Yes..they are black :)

My husband says I sound like Darth Vader from accross the house. Now, that's pretty loud.

Try this at your own risk. Use a small screwdriver and turn the slotted center post inside the middle of the battery connecter clockwise about 1/8 to 1/4 turn maybe a little more. This will decrease the draw and reduce the air noise. I am not exactly sure what this does inside the carto. It either has something to do with the insulator on the connecter or it may twist the tube inside the carto causing less airflow. This may in fact just be a bad idea -- I look for others comments!

I have extra auto's so If I wrecked on it would'nt bother me. I was thinking along the line of plugging up one or 2 holes just below the battery threads..there are 4 in total. Maybe start with one first..then see. But why not plug it up with a tiny amount of crazy glue or something like that....or am I crazier then glue? lol
