I used to just toss out my 808ds every so often. I just newbied up and my 2 1300 X2s went out at the same time due to a perfect rotation.

So my Ego Twists are otw. And it will be a 2 battery rotation--I do not want this to happen again and I'm sick of having back-ups for back-ups... Is there some multimeter I can buy to check overall battery power? Is charging time some indicator of life left? I can't afford to preventively throw Ego Twists in the trash every so often and I can't have them BOTH dying at the same time...

TY!

The simple answer is no. You would need hundreds of dollars in testing and measuring equipment to measure capacity before and after. Even then, batteries can just up and die at anytime. Not common, but it happens. I wouldn't be so sure that your batteries' demise was due to a perfect rotation, and not another contributing factor. It is very rare for 2 batteries to die of natural causes at relatively the same time.

Rarely do two propietary batts die at the same time of natural causes, but it could happen. Most often when two batts die at the same time its because of a short caused by the atty or carto the person is using thats used on both batts. Multimetering that atty or carto after the first batt dies to see what its reading is can prevent it being used on the second batt so it doesnt cause the second to die.

Backups are simply part of vaping. Without them one can find themselves without all they need to vape until a new order arrives which takes days unless one has a store nearby. I'd personally never toss a batt that was still working even if I did decide I preferred to use new ones or something different. Those old batts make great backups until new ones arrive in the mail :)

If you wish to have a two batt rotation for your new Twist I'd suggest getting a third one and putting it aside just in case you find yourself in need. And at some point in your future, hopefully after 200 charges on one of the two you are regularly using, that third Twist will simply take its place in your rotation.

Thanks for the help. FYI, cheap crappy batteries like the stuff SmokeTip first sold me and the crap SI just sold me do if you do a perfect rotation. When a crap batery has only 40 charge cycles and you rotate them evenly they do tend to go out at the same time. With two good batteries this won't happen: if, say, twist one has a 257 cycle life and twist two has a 325 cycle life. But with crap it certainly does happen. That's why I had my Twists otw so I can say good-bye to SI and their across the board on everything I tried crap product line-up.

Why waste your money get you a mod that uses rechargeable batteries. The joker from Vaprlife is comparable to a 1000 mAh ego in size has more power better adjustment 2 sets of batteries and your good for at least 6 months if you break the Mod its about 20 dollars for repair. Pluse most importantly its American Made!
I only mention the Joker because its size and function compare to a ego twist

i can prove you wrong on this you don't need a lot of money to test the before and after of a battery. all you would need is HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : IMAX B6 Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells (GENUINE) they tell you the mah of a battery before you charge and what you use to charge the battery all for under $30. i was in the rc hobby for a little and have the charger and use it on all my batteries i like being able to see what my battery is doing and how much of that battery i used.

well you could use one of these to analyze you battery while in use HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : Turnigy 130A Watt Meter and Power Analyzer like steeljan did in this vid Joyetech Ego-C Twist Torture Review - YouTube and use it to see what the battery is doing under load or charging. with the meter you can use it to see what the battery is doing under load or use it like the charger. i would use it under load because i can see the other stuff the problem is making it work on the smaller plus used in the e-cigs. so this is a cheaper way of analyzing and will see what the battery is doing under a carto load
