Yep, I know the bottom of the atty pushed into the threads lesson oh too well...Not going to be a problem with the up-coming i-atties though!! I'm using a very fine sand paper...Should I get a courser one? I did extend the spring as well...Thanks for the rapid response tenfour!

I used 320 grit sandpaper with mine, I just had to sand for a longer time. A coarser grit would probably do the trick faster. No problem - I'm here to help as I know exactly how frustrating it can be! :)

Thank you kind sir! I'm a Taurus, so frustration is a life long journey : ) I'll get some courser sand paper mañana and give it another go...It's one of those SCREW safety when this beast hit so well at 7.4v's with a 1 1/2 sec. press of the button!...ANYTHING of a change is SO noticeable - LOL!

Again, MUCH appreciated!!!!!!

New iatties will be like the previous ones because of the mistake that China did. They didnt made iatties as I told them. That doesnt mean that they are not ok but they are not as I wanted them mre:)

Ten please dont use so hard sandpapers because the connection will be worse than it was before. Use a thin one, more than a number of 1000:)

Now that I think about it that does make more sense. The 320 grit worked for me, thankfully. I actually looked for a finer grit when I bought the 320, but the store didn't have any. Anyway, now I know!:)

The reason is that the big sandpaper will leave big "mountains" and "channels" on the surface of the metal so the connection would be worse that a slick surface that a 1200 sandpaper will leave on the metal. So the finest the sand paper is the better surface will leave my friend Ten:)
