I'm a Go-Go'er who's anxiously awaiting my VOLT!

Yes, the Go-Go is my Perfect PV when I'm @ home, or in the car, etc. Kicks like a mule, an holds 3mls.

But I also want a PV that doesn't draw so much attention, that provides the same horizontal carto goodness of my Go-Go, and that i can operate hands free. Supposedly, that's the VOLT.

We'll find out (hopefully) sometime next week...

I thought the original joye cartos had a horizontal coil as well.

I don't think so. I know kanger attempted an earlier version a while back, but they weren't so good.

If you take off the cap and see a wire sticking out of the tube, it's the old vertical coil method.

Which does do well in certain situations. My 4ml LEO cartos are great.

Hot-Dog! I stand corrected, what's old is new again!

Glad the technology has taken a step forward. I really hated the old cartos. No matter how old or new, or what juice I ran through them, they all had that plasticky 'carto' taste. The convenience was great, but blecch.

I was soooooooo worried about that with my Go-Go, even though all the reviews said there was no carto taste, it was in the back of my mind. Not even close, it is an awesome big-batt experience

Not too worried about the VOLT though. I have not read about a bad experience yet.

Please explain how it is better than an ego.

BTW your reviews are great!

Thanks. Okay, how the Volt is better than the Ego to me:

1. The Volt cartomizers (the KR808D-1 horizontal coil) are so much better than the Ego with atomizer and little dorky carts on top that were never consistant, had to mess with it all the time, modding the filler in the little cart, figuring out the best consistancy of juice that would work, getting it overfilled and flooding the atty or getting that dry toasty atty hit. For a beginner, it's just a mess. Messy juice everywhere trying to fill those little carts every 40 minutes or so, kleenex everywhere, carrying tweezers on me to mess with that filler crap. Just.... um.... no. Volt cartomizers, pull off the rubber booties, screw it on, ohhh yeah, same great vape from beginning to end, which is about 5 hours for me. Refill those Volt cartomizers with any mix of juice I want and rock on again, nothing burning, just yeah great!!!

2. The Volt battery - this is the regulated battery that stays good from beginning to just before it needs charging, no pressing a button, it's automatic and hasn't ever misfired on me. 2-3 hours of heavy vaping, or however long for just taking ciggy break vapes or trying to grab a vape when really busy. Standard Ego batteries last me 3 hours or so of heavy vaping plus I have to push that stupid button. Why push a button to vape when I don't have to???? Older auto batteries were a nightmare for misfires and only lasted like 30 minutes, but that's no longer true with the Volt battery.

To sum up, less mess, solid great vape, small device, batteries last long enough, no button pushing, cool pcc, new things coming for the Volt (longer batteries already available) decent prices and outstandingly low shipping ... um... Volt trumps the Ego for me.

P.S. I have been told that many other KR808D-1 kits can be identical to the SmokelessImage Volt/Bloog Maxxfusion so I'm right now ordering some stuff from as many ECF vendors as I can to test this theory. No doubt -- video a-comin' on all that. ;-)

I didn't mean to correct you or anything- I just remembered reading that, that's all. Horizontal, vertical, as long as I can vape with it I'm happy.

Thanks so much for that! I use boge cartos on my ego, but I hear ya about filling the carts. I think I attempted it the first day I got my pv and that was it.

Have they already updated their stock and sold out, or are we still waiting?

I see the longer batteries already there. According to Imagine in the SI thread, other stuff is still in transit and some that has already arrived is being entered into their inventory system. I think Imagine wrote that all the new stuff will be up by this weekend, but I'm repeating that off the top of my head.

I'm also brand new to this e-cig world, and seriously thinking about getting a Volt. I just started with a Go-Go (which I'm really really liking a lot), but I can see certain situations in my life where a more analog-looking device will be better.

I've seen all the good reviews on the Volt, and I know that it's basically just a vamped-up KR808D-1, but the reviewers claim it to be somehow improved.

Like I said, I'm new to this, so I realize that I'm clueless, but the Volt seems like a good analog-looking automatic.

If I'm missing something, or if I'm wrong about anything, someone please let me know.

Great combination a Go-Go and a volt. I prefer a Echo and a volt because they are both 808 autos but either is a good combination to have. The Go-Go and Echo both have 1300 batteries with 3 ml cartos for when you want an all day vape and the Volt when you want something discreet for a shorter period of time.

she said they'll have enough stock to last till the end of the month...but that's when all the NEW colored batteries comin in! so no worries about stock I think.
in the official thread, imagine said that theyd have the new cartos and 65mm batts up by the end of the afternoon... they told me they didnt expect to run out anytime soon after this big shipment, but im wondering if they underestimated demand... its kind of incredible to see how many people are interested in this stuff.

Wow - I was reluctantly looking for a "dress up" mini-pv to take out to certain public places after my bro-in-law told me this weekend that I reminded him of the caterpiller on Alice in Wonderland every time I vaped my eGo. I'd also been dripping because I discovered within 2 hours of my first vape that I hate carts and cartos were just marginally better (but necessary if you are driving or doing anything that makes dripping inconvenient or dangerous.) I'll definitely pick up an adapter and try these cartos on the eGo. The whole kit probably won't be far behind for public outings. I don't recall if that caterpillar wore stripes or polka dots, but I don't look good in either! ;)
