been vaping since november-ish. been enjoying it so far, went from an ego pen style i got at cig outlet, to an mvp and mini nautilus tank, and about a week ago i got a segili 30w and subtank mini which is beyond great. however, i got some sort of upper respiratory infection a few weeks back. the sickness feeling, along with the fatigue, sore throat and runny nose and all that junk cleared up after a few days, but in the past few days or week or so, ive been left with this feeling of decently heavy congestion in my upper chest. sort of like a feeling like there's a good amount of mucus that i cant get out, and occasionally ill cough up a very minor amount here n there. and theres slight soreness near my chest/sternum area too. i figure this is just leftover mucus from the respiratory infection clearing up but who knows. decided to just use snus for now until this clears up, since the last couple days when i'd hit my vape decently well/often, id feel more feelings of heaviness/congestion and slight soreness in my chest. i dont wanna have to quit vaping, but if i have to look forward to chronic/constant respiratory infections/issues from it then i will. but, other than that, i got an order of max vg 6mg juices coming from vista vapor that im excited to try, perfect time to let em steep while i take this mini break from vaping to let my chest clear up.

well i remember trying higher vg juices before with no problems, i think the past few days ive been using a 50/50 mix aka some cosmic fog i got at a local vape shop. .... i really hope vg isnt the problem lol, i just ordered a quite large max vg order from vista vapors. i wonder if my respiratory system is still clearing up/getting over the infection or whatever it was, and right now its just sensitive to vapor maybe? which is why im trying to hold off vaping for a few days until it clears up.

well idk how much gunk has built up due to my smoking, i smoked for a good 3 years, snused and chewed for a year or two before that as well. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt vaping myself into an even worse respiratory issue. but the prolonged mucus/congestion seems to be a common norm with these types of infections so im not too worried. in other vape news, this sigelei 30w mini is a great box mod, and this subtank mini is an amazing tank.

The increased water intake will definitely help! You might also try some mucinex. It is designed for mucus and chest congestion. It is a little on the expensive side but well worth it in my opinion. I stick with the regular mucinex, the mucinex DM kept me awake at night. Hope you feel better soon!

you might check for the generic (guaifenesin) at walmart. tends to be reasonable.

work better then the half box of sudophed i currently have?

Yes, guaifenesin is particularly helpful for *chest* congestion, for which sudafed does little or nothing. But you have to drink EVEN MORE water if you take guaifenesin, or you're just wasting your time and money.

I always find anything more than 20% VG gives me something in my chest that feels like a hairball -- just can't cough it up to save my life. My usual ratio is 83PG/17VG, and that works terrifically well. I got a cold back in November, but I had ZERO chest involvement, which says WORLDS for the superiority of vaping over smoking; as a smoker, any piddling cold always led to 6 wks of coughing up and sounding like I had TB or something.

VG may be more soothing to the throat, but it's definitely not a good thing for lungs; just too thick and gluey.
