Hey everybody, just enjoying a nice Angry Orchard apple cider at the moment, and vaping some five pawns Castle Long, with alcohol that I actually like the taste of, FP Castle Long goes great with it, because it has a hint of bourbon in it as well.

With everything else with a bite to it (I like makers mark whiskey alot), I like Cloud Science Alpha by Telios, because it's a great "chaser". Its creamy strawberry, mixed with spun sugar, and it really does taste like those three ingredients were baked all together, it's delicious and smooth.

Just curious to see if you rebuilders fancy a drink with a vape as well, one of the time when I used to smoke cigarettes the most, was when I got a little tipsy, because it felt oh-so-good, but I've found that vaping feels even better. I still vape a little harder than I usually do, but still is an awesome combo.

What are you drinking, and with what juice?

First of all, I love whiskey. I like it neat, no ice , water, or any other additives. By far the one I enjoy the most is The Balvenie Doublewood 12yr Scotch Whisky while vaping unflavored. The vape seems to keep my palate refreshed and each sip is just as enjoyable as the first. Vaping and drinking in general is worlds better than smoking and drinking. IMHO...

I hear ya, I used to get a certain nausea once I overdo it with the hard liquor cigarette combo, vaping keeps it nice and clean. I like unflavored myself but it does get old, if you've never had a mojito and menthol vape, you haven't live :p.

I'm a whiskey fan myself, I like makers mark for how smooth it is. I'll have to try Balvenie, is it one of those rarely in stock whiskeys?

I think the nicest whiskey I've ever had was a Hankey Bannister 40 year old Bottling Note from Master of Malt, it was $1102 between me and a friend, it was magical. Whiskey from 1970 is so much different than today's, it was barely legal when it was made, and just amazing. I was honored to drink something that was made 20 years before I was even born.

I don't drink much hard liquor unless it's the weekend, but I always enjoy a glass or bottle of beer when I get home from work in the evenings. I'm big into craft beer, and won't touch anything made by the mainstream beer companies. I find that Bionic Vapor's Cinammon Delight pairs fantastically with Sam Adams Summer Ale, or any other wheat beer really. I also like to vape on Bionic's Custard Assault while drinking a nice dark beer, such as Stone's Arrogant ....... Ale or Dixie's Blackened Voodoo Lager.

treehead, I've had no problems getting the Balvenie here in N.C., though it can be a challenge around the holidays. Some folks may consider it a little spendy at $66.00 a fifth(here in N.C.)but it's worth it to me. It's like a very smooth flavor explosion in your mouth with a little heat.

If you've never drank Scotch Whisky before I might suggest some Glenlivet 12yr to cut your teeth with...lol. Take your time and you can actually pick out the many flavors and undertones in scotch. You will also know if scotch is for you are not(some folks just don't like Scotch Whisky)at half the price of the Balvenie. I usually pour some in a short wide mouth glass, let it breath for 10 to 15 minutes, then enjoy. I also stick with the single malts, the blended scotches tastes like gasoline to me.

Hey now me and a few at the Snow Goose downtown would say Sam Adams is mainstream :p, just playin' good beer is good beer. But I totally hear what you mean, coors, budweiser, pabst etc. (all drinkable but) don't have much depth too them I guess you could say, just lightly flavored budget alcohol (although I'll confidently admit, I've drank alot of bud platinum's over the past 2 years when I'm not bring my beer with me (at parties/celebrations), stuff is so clean, I feel like I can drink it on an upset stomach, has a clean taste to it too.

Yeah I drink bourbon and whiskey (sometimes vodka) on occasions, I can't pound the hard liquor all week ;), but I do looove my hard ciders, taste way better, and slightly stronger than beer, and I don't get hangovers from them. If you ever catch them in season, check out Founders Brewing Company. They are pretty much the only beer I buy, Backwoods ....... is an aged beer in bourbon barrels (has a sour note too it some may have a hard time getting used to), hands down my favorite beer ever.

Barrel aged beer is where it's at, nothing else tastes like it.

Love barrel aged. A local brewery, Revolver Brewing, released their Fracker Barrel One last month. Aged 2 years in wine barrels. Fantastic brew. Not $45 for a 2L growler fantastic though.

If you watch any of Ruby Roo's vaping videos she has a "vape pairing" at the end of each video where she pairs a beer or cocktail with an ejuice. She used to work at New Belgium and is a cicerone (basically a sommelier for beer). It is one of the reasons her juice reviews are my favorite, she is trained to pick out the complexities of flavors and goes much more in depth than, the juice is good, lol.

No I actually love scotch :D, my best friends father got me on that train, I figured out I like single grain scotches, they taste smoother to me with some grain added to the barley. I don't buy it often, however I have a bottle sitting at that friends house in his bar, no-one ever drinks it but me anyway lol.

That's who actually gave me the idea :), I love Ruby Roo. She's basically my guide for juices now, because yeah, she knows how to pick out those flavor notes, and tells exactly what you want to know. I swear I've had some juice that I bought after her review, and I already knew EXACTLY what it was going to taste like because of her. More singing! :p.

Ouch, that is a little steep, I bet it tastes so good from the wine barrels though!

My favorite pairing for the past few days have been Macallan 18, neat, with a Standard Vape's CB4, using a 0.25 ohm dual coil Magma. The citrus note brings out the peat flavor of the scotch, the crime brûlée exhale gives me sweet dessert finish.

Another nice pairing that I enjoy is Jack, on the rocks, and MBV's butterscotch, using the same Magma RDA. The butterscotch really comes out with the sweetness of the whiskey. It's a great pairing for a hot summer evening.

I'll have to check that out. Coincidentallly I'm sipping on a New Belgium Snapshot right now. Not a fan of it honestly. Hopefully the Fat Tire I have in the fridge is better.
