Well, I haven't had to deal with that problem in a long time, but I get it. I started smoking when I was much too young and i often think - if only vaping was around back then, I wouldn't have had to carry that rotten cigarette addiction around for so long. On the bright side, you will outgrow that. A day will come when you will no longer have to smudge the ink on your driver's license, so to speak.

In a better world, it would make sense to provide exemptions to the law to kids who were verified by their doctors as having a nicotine addiction so that to you would not be forced to sneak and lie and put you in the cross-hairs between your ethics.and just trying to get through your day.

I would be strenuously advocating for that if I was your age. I would start by having a nice sit down with my family doctor, start a letter writing campaign, and maybe a petition drive and go from there. If nothing else, it gave might give you a constructive outlet for your frustration - but who knows? Your ENERGY and enthusiasm especially given that you are going into your 20s and will not be a 'kid' for much longer, might just be the spark that the vaping industry and community needs in order to save itself.

I live in a state that recently raised its tobacco product purchasing age to 21. I have smoked cigarettes since I was 15 and switched to juul at 18. I'm now 19 and I feel like a shady criminal trying to get my hands on juul pods and eliquid, almost like I'm buying weed or something. I have somehow managed to squeak past the age verification on a websight but that still feels shady and I really dont like doing it. I almost feel like I had a right taken away from me that I only had for a few months. Anybody else feel this way?
Welcome and glad you joined.
No, I used vaping to quit smoking and give up nic entirely. Since you are wise enough to dump smokes, you should feel proud.

Actually, I thought that when they raised the drinking age in the US they phased it in so it didn't take away any existing rights, but I was 21-22 at the time so maybe I just assumed they would do that.

Yeah they did phase it in. I was unlucky. I was one year under the age for four years. It really sucked!

that's a total bummer. i feel like you should be able to talk to your primary caregiver (doctor) and get a prescription but for some reason i doubt it's even an option.
