I am 3 days into using/learning to use the Prodigy. So far, I'm loving it. I will admit that I did purchase it 2nd hand from someone that had it for 2 weeks...

Anyhow, when using the 510 adapter, the atomizer isn't working. I've tried all that I have and it's a no go. They are fine when I put them back on the 510 battery. No problems using it with the 801.

Any suggestions?

I'm also having problems with my 510 attys. I had a few lying around from e-smokeytreats and ruyandirect, so I decided not to buy any extra from ps. of the 4 I had, two don't even get hot (so there is no vapor production whatsoever). of the last two, one puts out very little vapor, the other puts out marginal vapor...about the same or less than what I got on my regular batts. I've blown out all of my attys and cleaned them with paper towels and q-tips, still nothing.

I'm about to buy 4 or so 510 attys from ps to see if they work at all, so I'll try to get back to you after i've tested them.

Interesting. I've had no problems with my 510 atomizers whatsoever. Just the normal lifespan stuff. They get a little weaker over time and they need to be blown out once a day. Other than that, no issues with excessive heat, no burnouts, plenty of vapor from all of them. The only time my Prodigy gives wispy results are when the atomizer is flooded or the batteries are over 80% spent.

I am having problems with my wideband atty's from e-smokeytreats on my prodigy also. Work fine on the batt's, cold like getting no current from the PD.

My lowband atty's I had already and the one from PS work just fine.
When holding them up there is a slight size difference, the widebands are just a hair shorter than the low bands and I'm betting it's causing a poor or no connection and hence no power to fire up the atty.
I'm thinking staple mod might fix? If not.. no big deal as I have low bands that work just fine.

By "No Go" do you mean they are not heating up or generating any vapor?

I'd guess that if your atty coil glows red when button is depressed and you get no or little vapor, You simply need to feed it more juice.

If atty coil isn't heating at all, but the same atty works fine on your 510 battery... You likely have an issue with the 510 adaptor not making good contact with your atty... In other words... The center post of the adaptor may not be touching the center post of the atty.

Have you tested your cold atty's with a multimeter?

Have any of the 510 Prodigy owners with the same symptom tried the staple mod with success?

Haven't tried the staple mod yet but I tapped the center post extremely gently with my finger ( I was scared of messing something up lol)
and now 2 of the 3 wideband atty's works with it.

Glad to hear that Wench. So it was definitely a contact problem in your case. Here's hoping your "Gentle finger tapping method" doesn't require constant repeating to keep your atty's running. BTW, the staple mod would be more of a permanent type resolution to those atty's that fail to make good contact if the issue continues to be a pain.:)

Aloha,
INNOVAPER has the new and improved attys (rated at 30,000 5 second drags vs the 10,000 originals) they run for 10 bucks plus shipping.
Haven't gotten them yet but friend on the mainland says they vape better 2

Rated at 30k 5 sec. drags sounds like alot, but it still only comes with a 30 day warranty?!? Apparently thier not terribly confident in thier "Rating System". :) Wonder why they didnt just rate it at a million drags... 30 days is 30 days. Last I checked... J***y was still offering a 90 warranty on thier attys but I doubt thier rated for 30K drags.

There's no such thing as a "new and improved Joye 510 atomizer." The ones InnoVapor sells as such are third party atomizers that fit the 510 but aren't made by Joyetech. They're built differently, they don't work correctly with Joye carts and many people have reported that they perform worse than the Joye versions.

like saying Biggie Smalls three times in the mirror, this subject summons the Surf Monkey. they are 3rd party, yes. the different build means that they are slightly, but noticeably wider barreled than the regular ones. that means that the standard 510 carts dont fit right and are given to slippage and leakage at times when using them. if you use the ones that came with them, there is a more appropriate fit. there is nothing other than anecdotal evidence that they work any better or worse than the joye versions. i have read as many posts that they are fine, as are posts stating that they arent as good.

it is not my aim to derail the thread, and again not to criticize SurfMonkey (who seems to have a compulsion to speak about this subject every time it comes up), but when i see generalizations without actual evidence, it needs perspective and balance. atomizers are atomizers, and they always are a roll of the dice whether they are vapor monsters or little wisp puffers.
