Thanks. From what I understand AW is just an outer label that gets applied once they pass QA/QC and are generally better quality than efest. I may be wrong but that's what I recall reading. In theory three 700 mAh 18350s would have the safe vape time as one 2100 mAh 18650 right? So if I carry two 18650s I need to carrysix 18350s?

AW actually puts on his own battery shrink wrap to be accurate, but that's a minor point. Correct on all counts :thumb:

Just came across an estimated release date for these through a random Google search. Don't trust me on it tho.

"This product should be in stock by March 10th"

DashVapes - BATTERIES & CHARGERS - EFEST 18350 700MAH PURPLE WRAPPER

Can't wait to see some tests. Hopefully they're as good or better than the AWs... at a considerably lower price.

Portability combined with power. You won't get very good battery life but I suspect 30-40 drags is pretty good in cases where you want to carry a mod in 18350 anyway. If anything you can at least get a more satisfying vape. I tend to have to chain vape in 18350. I'd also probably keep it to around 7-8A and appreciate the extra leg room.

700mAh @ 10A = 4 minutes of runtime when drained to 3V.
Since most people stop at around 3.5V I expect this to give something like 3 minutes tops. That's like 30 drags or so.
I'm not sure why a lot of people here are so keen on using more and more power. Makes no sense to me.

Personally I'm not aiming to pull the full amperage out of them. My thinking is that higher discharge ratings means lower internal resistance means a more efficient battery over-all... giving me better runtime than my current AWs. And conciderably better runtime than the previous Efest 18350s.

All in all, I hope for a battery that is as good, or better than the AWs for a much lower price.

Also, I much rather carry a spare 18350 than vape on a 18500/18650 mod while out and about.

Also 2: You're calculations are (I'm guessing) based on a constant 4.2 voltage. Which isn't happening in the non-theoretical world. As voltage drops, you also draw less current in a mechanical.

Seat of pants. 1.2 ohm coil. My normal vaping; not much chaining. One 18650 lasts wake up till night plus chaining late night. 18500 lasts wake up till night and second 18500 for late night chaining. About 4 to 6 18350 wake up till bed time.

I prefer 18500 out and about because it will last all day. I don't like to carry 2 or 3 18350 when out and about. 18650 is a little big for pocket carry.

For late night cloud chasing I normally use 18650 but occasionally use 18350 and 18500 for short sessions. 0.5 ohm it's 18650.

I don't mind using tiny 18350 at the house because batt swap not to big of a hassle for me.

Really? I thought 300 was a standard estimate for all li-ion.

It varies quite a bit depending on specific chemistry used.

Our IMRs should ideally have 500-1000, while LiFePO4 can handle 1000-2000 cycles.

However, the charging pattern most of vapers tend to use could cut into lifespan a bit. Ideally li-ion batteries are not stored at full charge. Which is, I guess, what most of us do to keep them always ready to use. I personally can't be bothered babying my IMRs as much as I baby my much more expensive LiPo packs. Those never sit for more than a day fully charged.

I just ordered four of these, when one of the European vape shops in my browser's favourites list finally got them in. I don't go terribly low in ohms, no lower than 0.8 thus far, but I really want a proper safety margin. I'm perfectly happy using Sony 18650 vtc4s in my regular mods, but I love my Hammer clone and that one really needs to be used with 18350s. I also hope that the internal resistance of the new Efests will be lower than on existing 18350s. Will try to remember to post some results when I get them in :)

Yes. aw, efest and others typically list 500+ charges. I do tend to baby my batts in the charge cycle regard but just 300x is basically half of a normal batt life cycle for me. I charge at 50%+ most of the time which is ideal for li ion. Li ion likes shallow charges. Its true what wattwick says about not leaving fully charged batts around, but I try to keep only a few spares as to keep my batts rotating in a constantly fresh fashion.
IMO, having a ton of batts is not doing yourself a service. I think it's best to only gave as many batts as you go through in a couple of days.
But on be flip side, li ion batts can be safely stored at 40% for months.
