I'm working part time at a krispy kreme right now, The general manager isn't totally chill with me using it inside, but she doesn't nag me about it. With how our breakroom is I have to sit in a chair near the door and shoot the vapor behind the door (there is a window where customers could see me otherwise). If the manager is in a pissy mood or I don't want to deal with it I just take it to the bathroom or outside. I have somewhat converted one of the assistant managers already, and another employee wants one once she can get the money.

I've been surprised after years being ostracized as a smoker in the anti-smoking capital (ok next to the capital in berkeley) of the u.s. perhaps the world at how positive supervisors, co-workers, the security guard at the front desk, the attendant at the garage, the manager at the deli, etc etc have all been.

when i do hang with the smokers i almost always get asked for ordering information.

on the other hand when i am anywhere within 500 feet of a public school i go into stealth mode. exhaling slowly through the nostrils leaves almost no vapor to be noticed and with an eGo with a very discrete light under the botton--not the tip--it looks like i am chewing on a pen or a magic marker--weird but no complaints so far.

I vape at work and frankly don't care what other people think. I did the right thing by giving up the analogs and to say that I can't vape in my cubicle/office then I have two words for them ... p!ss 0f!

Just waiting for the day when one of the head execs starts in on me. Should be an interesting conversation.

Anyways, the other guy in my office does the analogs, the way I feel about this is I have to put up with him stinking, so he can put up with me.

Of course, we all need to be flexible, don't we?

My boss was the one who actually got me started vaping. Hah. He's evolved from Smoking Everywhere (bleh) to 510's and finally is now using the XHaler. Rotating with KR808's. I started with a 510 and migrated to a KR808/Greencig combo and that's where I've stayed since around October.

I love the freedom of vaping whenever I feel like it. But I still miss going outside to "burn one," as we used to say. If I get to missing it too badly I'm going to restrict myself so it will seem like more of a "treat" to go vape as opposed to vaping all day.

I just vape at work. In my office. In other people's offices. In front of clients. I never gave it a second thought. No one seems to really care because there is basically no smell, except for Atomic Cynacide which two people have told me they love the smell of. My boss so wants every smoker to quit because he doesn't want us going out to the parking lot to smoke that he pays a $500 bonus for quitting for 6 months, which is why it never occured to me that I would get in trouble for vaping at work.

I also vape in restaurants, bars, pretty much everywhere. Sometime I'm sure I'll get hassled, but honestly people tend to not know what it is for now and I think that's an advantage. They can see it isn't a cigarette because of the blue light, but they don't know what it is, so no one really has any idea what to say. I get curious looks is about it.

Have no need to sneak at my job, just whip it out and puff away happily at my desk. My coworkers are actually happy for me not going outside for a smoke every hour. Also as a side bebefit to vaping I have managed to convert 4 people at my job.

Tbh: Im at my desk vaping away as I'm editing this post

I work in a rather laid back environment, and my boss is a good guy, albeit a bit of a square. Knowing him as I do, I fear the act of vaping resembles the act of smoking too closely for him (and one particularly curmudgeonly co-worker) to be comfortable. I haven't received my first PV yet, so I have not tested this theory. At some point in the coming week I will have to initiate the conversation, but I'm not optimistic.

Has anyone had to overcome a boss, bar owner, security guard who came to the table with a closed mind? I could use a plan of action.

I have no idea if there is such a thing already written up, but it might be good to have an E-cig/Vaping Fact Sheet that could be handed out not only to folks that might be interested in trying it, but also to explain it concisely to employers or HR departments.

I work at home, so not a work issue for me, but I do have a blog site where I send people I meet who are interested. It saves a huge 45 minute conversation and takes the pressure off of them and me to decide or make decisions or judgments. I'm even planning on just printing some biz cards with the blog URL..to make it even more convenient.

Just a thought...:)

I just received my first e-liquid purchase from vaporbomb and they included 2 business cards that have some facts printed on the back that say something like

- The person presenting this card is using a personal vaporizer...what you see is vapor, not unlike the vapor from a fog machine. The vapor is made up of 99% water, and 1% nicotine and food flavorings.-

It is a bit longer, but I don't have the cards in front of me and cannot remember the rest. I thought it was a pretty cool card that I can toss in my wallet and hand to someone that is skeptical. Now if I can get my darn taste buds to come back so that I can actually taste some of this stuff.

Very cool! I was just trying to decide if I should buy some juice from vaporbomb! The fact that they included those cards is extra cool, and I think I am going to purchase right now! Sweet!

JC, have you tried what you just got from them? What did you get and how is it? hehe :)

Since I started in July of 2009, they were being sold as "use it anywhere" devices and I used it as such.

I showed the director of our IT department, and he just wanted to know more. I showed him, and I walk around all day with my CHUCK, or Prodigy V2 in my hand... I rarely put it town other than when I type 2 handed. I use it in the VP's office, Exec. VP's office... well everywhere. The former HR director "plays for the other team" every chance he has, in Every way, so I keep it low key if there is a tour, or he decides to poke his nose in. I have never had a negative response at work except from my boss and we .... heads as any hard headed individuals will, but it is not an issue. EVERYWHERE! We have had foggers running at Halloween functions in the past, so it would be tough to say "You can't use that here" when the company already has.

I write scripts to automate tons of things, so I can get by one-handed typing a lot!

Edit: Well co-workers have been eye-irritated with "Mint" flavors. That is it though.

I vape all day at work with no problems, clouds of thick vapor pour from my mouth and the boss always says "that is .......***g amazing! The smokers are ...... because they gotta go to the cafe to smoke..hahaha!!! They all say they want one but when they all get a pack of analogs free everyday it's hard to make the switch. Yes I work for big tobacco, I pass vending machines full of free analogs all day everyday.

WOW! I am shocked that your boss knows and does not have a problem with it. You would think where you work would have a HUGE problem with it. Where I work I'm affiliated with them (you more than likely have no clue about what we make for them) but they are hard asses lol I would think they would look at the e-cig and think you're taking business away from them in a way. Very Interesting!

I ordered all 5ml bottles which they only had in their standard liquids, but I did not want to get the bigger bottles until I found one that I liked. I ordered

Watermelon - to me there is not really much of a taste to this one.

Toffee - this one has a smooth and nutty flavor. I am kinda going back and forth on this one for now since my taste buds are all screwy from smoking for so long.

Butter Pecan - a little too buttery for me, if I can convert my wife, I think she would really like it. Strongest flavor of all of the ones i received.

Wild Cherry - I don't really taste much cherry in this one, actually has a little bit of a medicine taste.

Blueberry - Vaporbomb actually threw this 5ml bottle in as a free sample, this is probably my favorite so far. Even though the taste is not very strong, it kind of reminds me of blue otter pops from when I was a kid.

Please keep in mind that my taste buds are still pretty shot, so what tastes really weak or off to me may taste alot better to you. Also, my 510 and attys are only about 6 days old, so from what I have heard it will probably take a few more days to a week to get full flavor out of them (hopefully sooner since I seem to be a chain vaper already:D).

One thing that I do really like is the amount of vapor these juices are putting out. I ordered 100% VG because right now I really need alot of vapor to satisfy me and keep me off of analogs, and these juices are taking care of that part for me. I just wish I could taste them more. They also threw in a free bag of poly-fill which I probably will not use because so far I am liking dripping alot more than carts.

Good deal! My taste buds are still very shot as well, I am only 2 days off of analogs. I do have an "almond joy" flavor that someone gave me that tastes pretty good, but have a coffee flavor that I can't taste at all... I have no idea yet on good or bad juice! haha
The bottle size is where I'm having the issue.. haha I put the 5ml's in the cart because I think "I'm just going to try some first" and then I think to myself... but I could LOVE it, and it's a WAY better deal just to get the 30ml... hahaha So I have filled up my cart and emptied it and refilled it about 6 times now! (which I did AGAIN right after I read your post, LOL)
I also was thinking about purchasing from Tasty Vapor. I am having a hard time deciding between the two with all the good things I have heard about both of them! Ahhhhhhh I wish I could just run down to a local store and get this stuff! haha errrr, maybe I would be broke then, though! hahaha

I use to take my analog breaks during the day outside the stockroom door when checking in vendors. Now I will occassional hit it inside the door, but only when taking in vendors. At night I still go outside for my smoke break, which is basically to grab shopping carts, garbage etc. I work as a manager for a drugstore chain and my store is in sort of a depressed neighborhood so not many folks know what it is.

I pretty much treat it like an analog, if one isn't allowed to smoke an analog in a place, then I don't vape in a place. I haven't been out much but have discretely vaped at a tavern but would not do it in a restraurant.

I haven't had any problems vaping anywere I want. I try to be a little discreet when I'm in an enclosed place and real close to others, like in a checkout line. I try not to blow big clouds when I'm in a store.
Iv'e gotton a few strange looks like they are wondering if I'm smoking, but when I stick it in my pocket, they realize it can't be a burning cig.

I think the best way to avoid problems when people ask about it is DON"T call it an e-cigarette. I may not even call it a vaporizer, (but most of the time I do). It depends on the type of person it is, or the expression on ther face when they ask about it.
If they have a very stern face, and your worried they may tell you to stop, (like store employee, or just a nasty busybody), tell them it is just a vaporizer to help stop smoking. Or if your really worried about , like at work were you don't want them to ban it, call it an inhaler.
When they ask about what looks like smoke. I tell them it is just water vapor, that it is supposed to make me feel like I'm still smoking so I won't want a cigarette. Nothing is burning, no flame, no smoke, no tobbaco. It just heats up the liquid, like steam.
Just don't associate it with a cigarette in any way.

Sometimes I hear "Hey, no smoking!" I just just say, "It's a good thing I don't smoke anymore".
