I got the polycarbonate tube in the mail and the measurements look to be IDEAL with my digital calipers. I'll try to see if I can get some time tonight to cut one to length and then sand/round the edges so they aren't sharp.

Should work flawlessly and the stuff seems very strong. Once I do this, I'm gonna feel like I can toss the Kabuki around! Haha

***And 3ft for < $10 - can't go wrong!

If you ever decide to sell any, let me/us know. I'd certainly be interested in polycarbonate tanks for the Kabuki. Certainly wouldn't be a problem recouping your original $10.

What are you cutting it with? If it works out I might like to get a link to where you found it, looking forward to hearing how this turns out.

I have been an off again/on again vaper since 2008. The last two years I have been smoking analogs because I just couldn't find a decent vape. I have an arsenal of vape gear going back to the dawn of vaping. I was a 6v silver bullet maptank vaper and that worked for me. They stopped making those ce2v4 in the stainless tubes and I limped along with cartos and vivi nova/kanger pro tanks. The boge cartos were okay but a hassle to deal with after a while. The protank/vivi nova/iclear30/etc tanks all sucked to me. I went back to analogs and was miserable.

When the subohm thing started, I thought why not, I tried a kbox and a couple of kanger tanks. They sucked really bad. I didn't understand the subohm thing at the time. I just thought less resistance meant I could lower my voltage. I am a mouth to lung vaper.

I was in the vape shop with a friend and on a whim I bought a nautilus tank. I came up and plugged in the bvc coil and popped it on an old provari. I couldn't believe it. It was actually a decent vape. Not the best, but good enough for me to try and quit analogs again. I hated the look of the tank so I started looking around. I have other HOH stuff (couple of zatty pros, zenesis, etc) so I looked up what was going on with HOH. I found the kabuki tank and it looked great.

I ordered a provari p3 and a kabuki.......

Hands down, this is the perfect vape that I have been searching for. I have spent years looking for the perfect blend of flavor, throat hit, vapor.... I am blown away. This tank is amazing.

I work multiple IT jobs and I sit most of the day. Around 16 hours. My vice is nicotine. I don't really drink, drug, coffee, or anything else. I have to have nicotine. Of course you can't smoke anywhere anymore. To have a cigarette, I would have to leave work and drive somewhere. Everyone in the office is a smoke nazi. It is difficult to stay focused and be productive when you are addicted to nicotine and can't take a smoke break. This setup has changed that. I can now stealth vape in my office and not have to drive across town for a smoke.

I just wanted to give zen a heart felt thank you. This has not only made my life more comfortable, but it has been about a week and a half off of analogs and I feel fantastic. Not many products can claim that kind of life enhancing impact. I will be ordering two more provari p3s and two more kabuki tanks Nov1.

Thanks Zen!

PS, are you going to make anymore kabuki z2 carto tank converters? I see they are out of stock at electronicstix....

Do you think the heat of cutting it caused the problem?

Thanks, Jim

That's an interesting thought. Gonna try bigger o-rings.. I'll go measure to see if it expanded or anything when the wife let's me after dinner.. Lol

When I draw with my tight draw I see an air bubble sneak in from the lower o-ring.

What size are these stock o-rings again? It's weird because it's not as tight as the glass tank, but I thought it felt tight enough..

Guess it's tough to improve Zen's perfection!

Is the factory cut end of the tubing you bought just as loose or tighter?

Do you have a pipe cutter used for cutting copper pipe? Might be worth a shot…

I do. For 1960's (house built then) standard copper plumbing pipe. Can't remember the width. I'll check later. Excellent suggestion.

Hi I am fairly new to ecf and this is my first post. What a great community. I have a question, but first about me and what I vape:
Quit ciggs over a year ago (smoked since I was 16 and am 68 now) using the cheap disposables and have spent way to much moving up the ladder of quality. I had early stage 1 COPD, and now that I have been off the ciggs for a year, my latest full pulmonary function test had me much improved to very low early stage...not even stage 1! So I can tell everyone that my pulmonary doc (one of the best where I live) told me to keep on vaping because my lungs sound better, and everything else had improved. He has had six patients in the last 8 months quit by vaping when nothing else would work.

Currently using a ProVari P3 and will probably get the new Radius next month. I really enjoy the quality of ProVape equipment. I have been using only aspire nautilus with 1.8 BVC coils and they have worked well. I have been running into a few leaking problems along with junk in the atty that is difficult to clean, so I just purchased a new Kabuki 510 and it is much better so far than the nautilus, both for flavor and draw. Time will tell, but with the true SS I believe it will last a very long time, and clean up better.

Why did I decide to buy the Kubuki - Because of this site and the long video on Youtube describing SS versus chrome plated brass for the aspire. I just felt I wanted the best quality metal and build for my atty. I am not a cloud chaser, but rather go for the flavor and nicotine hit. I use .6 to .9 now.

The question for anyone using a similar setup is what settings are you finding work best as a general guide?

On the ProVari P3 when using the Nautilus and 1.8 BVC coils I ran it about 11.6W to get to 4.7V with 1-Boost and that was ok. With the new Kabuki I am finding a better flavor and draw at 11.4W to get to 4.7 volts, but stepped up the boost to 2. Airflow is set pretty wide open.

Thank you for a great site and I look forward to contributing more over time! :)
