I've had my 510 since they first hit the shelves in June and it still needs the wrench but my 2 Z2's are nice and easy.

Same for me.

The 510's are typically tighter... long story... won't be telling it any time soon.

The 8-pack of 510 Kabuki o-rings that you sell on your website (not the ones you mention are a snug fit), do they fit like the o-rings that came with the 510 or are they are a little smaller? Thanks.

Ours fit quite nicely, NSM, at least the white ones do. I haven't tried the other colors yet, and I don't believe Kat has either.

Neither of us had any difficulty putting them on, and I can break just about anything. Twas easy as pie.

I hope this helps some. :)

I look at vaping like using the force in Star Wars. Feel what is good and right for you and go with it. Do not worry about the firing solution for your torpedoes/vape gear from the targeting computer crowd, chances are they are just trying to troll you anyway.

Everyone who listens to my audio system is amazed at the sound quality, which is, I have to admit, rather good! My speakers? A stacked pair of B&W DM2 Mk2's from the mid 1970's. So yes, that's two pairs, two speakers each side of the fireplace, one on top of the other. In their day they were excellent speakers and IMO still are. But, maybe surprisingly, stacking them transforms them into something really special. Speaker cable? Mains electric cable! Power amps? Behringer! Definitely not audiophile territory. But as I say, everyone who comes to listen is amazed at the sound quality and that is what counts.

I too worked at a high-end audio store in the 70's. I finally got the bread in the early 80's to buy a McIntosh MA-6200 integrated amp, an MR-80 tuner, a Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck and a Yamaha PX-2 turntable to which I paired stacked Advent speakers. Then in the late 80's I bought a McIntosh CD player. Turned out to be a good investment. Not figuring inflation, I sold all of it a a couple of years ago for more than I paid for it. Now I listen to music through a pair of Bose speakers hooked up to my Mac. Sadly I'm going backwards...

Well now, you need to be careful with that advice about the 2.5MM bore... because MANY of the guys using wide open drippers can only get flavor if they create a restriction at the output. These days it is quite common to see that in "flavor chasers". But those are guys with screwed up, wide open airflow to start with.

I like it a little wider than that... but if I'm being honest, I don't give it a whole lot of thought. I range from 3.5 mm to as wide as 7mm. Let your senses be the guide! You could try buying some cheapo Asian tips in a variety of sizes, before having that custom made tip built.

Zen, your Althea mouth pieces are the ONLY ones to use. If anyone else is using something different, then they are stupid!

I'm kidding, I'm kidding... At least about the stupid part. The Althea tips are amazing, however, which is why I keep buying them.

Hi again. I am the Canadian that broke her tank. No luck yet sourcing a replacement glass tank in Canada. In the meantime, thought I would use my drip tip but it won't come off. I have even tried with pliers, and now I've marked it up pretty good.

Are the drip tips on the MBV edition removable? Apparently, the telephone tech I spoke with at MBV couldn't remove his/hers either.

Thanks

Hi! It's me again hoping for help. Although I love the kabuki tanks, I'm getting really frustrated.

My spare glass tubes arrived the other day from Spectrum along w orings. Mike gave me 2 types of orings labelled z-atty and alternate. I tried the alternates first, filled the tank and really had to twist down hard to get the tank to connect (made sure orings were lubed up). When it was time to refill had one hell of a time trying to remove the base but managed to do so, and changed the orings to the "z-atty" ones hoping this would solve the problem.

The base was stuck even more so to the glass, and I ended up breaking my 1st spectrum tube. I have now used my second glass tube and tried to refill with the same problem. My husband managed to pry it off but I don't know what to do going forward.

I'm in communication w Mike at Spectrum to see if it's the size of the glass tube, but could the problem be the 510 Kabuki?

Btw, my 2nd kabuki that was stuck on my p3 base is working great which is why I haven't given up on these tanks.

My 510 is a bit tighter than my P3 and I did need to use the included allen key (wrench) to get it off the first few times - I put ejuice on every time I opened it and it did get easier. Not sure what to suggest :(

Agreed - and (especially at the early stages), lube that sucker up like you're basting a Thanksgiving Turkey. The stock o-rings are pretty thin, so they usually loosen up quite nicely. It just take a bit of time and patience.

"Patient vaper."

And I just realized that I was typing to one Canadian and one Brit. So the "Thanksgiving Turkey" may not have been my best choice of analogies.

Christmas Turkey? I know that holds true for kates, at least.

Typical Yank, me.

Lol. That's hilarious. We have thanksgiving too, just on a different day :)

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will continue to liberally lube my rings, try to reverse the glass on the next refill, and above all be "patient"

Cheers,

Tracy

We have an O-ring conundrum, and one I've thought about, but haven't seen mentioned.

While, on the one hand, we HAVE to use vliquid to lube up the O-rings to get them into the glass, the other hand is pretty much laughing at us. Vliquid causes O-rings to swell, making it more difficult if it's a tight fit to begin with.

Oh swell.
