I had *only* 100 coils in reserve. Maybe I'm going a bit overboard? I've been known to do that!
Seriously, though, I am kinda worried about the FDA. I'd rather build out of choice, not fiat.

I have 170 and intend to double that.. Want to have 3 to 4 years worth based on three kabukis using 2 coils each per month. I will probably get the third kabuki black friday.

It's a fantastic tank, really truly fantastic.

Just a quick note...
I am a 30+ year, 2PAD, ex-smoker. My quit date was 08/05/13, and I never promised anyone (or myself) that I'd quit~! My only promise was that I would 'vape' for five minutes before having a smoke. And, I never had another smoke.

Now, to set the record straight, I liked smoking~! I didn't want to quit, in fact I had quit twice before, once for 18 months, and both times I chose to go back to smoking because I missed it.

One thing you need to understand, when you vape, the nicotine doesn't hit you right away like a cig does, hence the five minute rule. Even though not a supported method, vaping has helped uncounted people to quit smoking forever~!

A few simple thoughts?

Don't be quick to lower you NIC.
In the beginning; be sure to carry backups, and take planned extended vaping breaks (until you learn how much is enough to hold you over when you're not allowed to vape)
Find at least one juice you love-this is key (I chose Vanilla variants)
Listen to long-time vapers suggestions for gear-we only want to help you.
My Radius and Kabuki are perfect for *ME*, and *MIGHT* be perfect for you, but only you can decide.
Vaping may not be as *easy* as smoking, but it costs less (unless you collect stuff), is harm reduction for you, and generally, you can vape more places than you can smoke.
Gotta say it's been like a month since I fussed or messed with a "build". I got the Kabuki a month ago! It's just been "sit back, relax and enjoy" since I got my Kabuki!

I'm probably going to get another.... But I just dropped A LOT of $$ lately....

@Asteperious loving the vaponaute so far. Crescent morning is in a kabuki right now. Really begins to come out on the second fill.

Also with the conversion, and very well priced shipping, i got some very fancy feeling juice fir what i paid for charlie noble. And i like noble a lot, but it didn't come right from paris, some if it in fancy pretty white boxes.

Very affordably priced too.

Thanks Mike!!!

Jim
Woooohoooooo!!!

@zen - I know you hate Poly and I read the post on the site... But with that said, are these poly sized a little better than what I made on my own?

I'm sticking with my own just because - but wondering if others will have problems with the stock o-rings or not and/or I wanted to recommend you add in replacement o-rings with the poly?

Thanks for doing this!! I hope they sell like hotcakes for you!

I've got one coming too - may be able to swap the pin for a nautilus coil one if that's the problem? I thought it was cheap enough to give it a go (& ordered before Zen said to hold off). Quite looking forward to a bit of tinkering - life has been tinker-free since I got the Kabuki :)

The problem isn't the pin, it's the diameter of the "build chamber", But I'll work on a solution to that if the device looks worthy enough to put the time into it.

Well, at the risk of sounding snarky... ummmm... how would I know if they fit better, I don't have yours to measure!

These seem to work with stock O rings, from what I can tell.

And yeah, I do hate poly. It's impossible to work with without scratching it.

Hi all,

I'm writing from Italy and I bought a used kabuki 510 in a forum.
the tank is wonderful and I'm using it as my main one.

I've only a strange behavior in the contact pin/screw at the bottom.

If I try to screw it more, to obtain a better electrical contact with the coil, at a certain point (when it reach the contact with the coil I think), the plastic holder of the screw starts to come out as I continue to screw.
Basically the screwing action doesn't stop.

Is it the normal behavior?

thanks for any help

ciao

Cool - good to hear!

Probably the reason I asked the way I did is because I thought you'd remember offering advice on the larger o-ring size when I mentioned mine losing its vacuum with my poly tank is all.

Thanks again!

I found the standard o-rings very loose with the poly tank on the MBV 510 version. I used your suggested o-rings to get a much better fit. Haven't tried it on the P3 version. Please note: I did not attempt to fill the tank with the o-rings that came with the MBV so I can't speak about the vacuum seal with those o-rings.

So the polytank on HoH requires larger Orings?!?

Confused, Jim

I found the O-rings that came with my MBV 510 Kabuki were not tight with the glass tank. When I replaced the glass tank with Zen's poly tank, it wouldn't stay in place. So to answer your question - my experience has been that the o-rings needed the ones that @stanleybb50 referenced when he created his own poly tank (for my MBV Kabuki). YMMV. Here is the link that was provided above for the o-rings.
Buna O-rings # 015-70D Price for 100 pcs
Wish I knew how to reference/link to the post above, so apologies for that.

Do the Poly Tanks that HoH sell come with different Orings?

The ones that I received from HoH did not have ship with o-rings (although the steel tank I ordered did). I had already ordered the o-rings to make my own poly tank, but I'm not as talented as other members, so when Zen offered the option, I chose to go that route. Kudos to Zen for creating an alternative for which he wasn't enthusiastic. I believe it looks beautiful and my wife certainly likes it.

I am loving my new Kabuki. Just wish it held a bit more liquid.
With the introduction of the Atlantis tank I found myself quite enjoying smaller tanks. For me it just means each refill will be different & I won't get bored vaping the same flavor in a 5ml or larger tank.

I find my juice ends up getting kinda cooked, and grotty, in the larger tanks.

Much nicer to have fresh juice and a tidy tank imo.

Usually. But I've had to refill twice during this game -- 2nd time, with slightly higher nic!
