When I purchased the Aspire coils for the Kabuki I noticed there was a 1.6ohm and 1.8ohm coil, is there really any difference between these? I ended up picking the 1.6ohm, I hope that was the right choice. I've also heard mention around these threads that there is perhaps a better alternative to the Aspire coils?
I just got in a pack of coils from VaperWerx USA. Wanted to give them a shot since they are an American company.
Will vape on them a few days & post my thoughts on them in this thread.

I'm interested in your review. I got a couple of packs for the same reason that you did but I don't think I will be a repeat customer.

I want to try the new coils for the mini triton, .3 tc, 1.2 kanthal and a 2.8 clapton maybe a double clapton??? That will fit the nautilus. Places have them on pre order will order some on payday. Maybe even the mini odyssey kit. I've got too much stuff.......

I think @zen would tell you they are not really "american made" coils......Unfortunately. They were just talking about them on Facebook & the fact that they advertise their coils are "drenched in nickle coating."

Oh man that stinks, now I don't even want to try them if they are dipped in nickel.
Oh well, at least I only bought one pack.
Thanks for that info!

Interesting!
Wasn't aware of these new Triton mini coils.
Claptons have my interest peaked.

No worries, I'm thankful I know the chemistry of the coil now. I'm only out 1 pack so no biggy. Besides, the aspire coils are exceeding my expectations in the Kabuki.

I have a Kabuki on the way. One question-back when I was reading the Nautilus threads it was said the the Nautilus BVC's liked higher wattages, in the 12W to 15W range. Does that not apply to the Kabuki? Guessing it's the increased airflow or better power output of a Provari? I do have a couple of Nautilus minis and a full size Nautilus and I do tend to run them around 12-14W's.

The Kabuki has better connectivity. You will be dropping power compared with a Nautilus tank.

I notice no difference between the two ohmages. I rarely pay attention to numbers tho anyway. Up if too cool, down if too warm. KISS, me, baby!

As far as any new coils are concerned, if @Zen~ doesn't mind, I'll let him guinea pig it. I know he'll do the complete testing and then let us know. And I do trust in his educated experience on this. (ok, a lot of things. OK FINE. Most things!) :D

I'm running mine from about 9-11 cuz I like to stay in the men's sock size arena. That's how I roll.

I did find a downside to the Kabuki.

Unflavored juice doesn't taste very good in it.

You get just a little bit too much of what it actually tastes like.

yuck.

Have to save the unflavored juice for the iClear 30S.
As one who runs un-flavored on a semi-regular basis, I didn't find this to be a downside at all. I usually start out a fresh coil with un-flavored, then when re-filling will add some lightly flavored, then alternate between the two for subsequent fills. But then, I like the taste of my non flavored nic base...
