I pride myself on being able to build most anything I have bought. Built protanks, Aspire bdc up to and including (need to clarify - RTA/RDA) dual single and once a quad...the Nautilus coil exasperated me to the point of slinging it across the yard. Most infuriating experience yet with rebuilding. Hope anyone who tries has better luck and patience than I did. And the vape was horrible in the one I managed to get wicking...just totally not worth my sanity.

I'm proud of you. Not enough to emulate you, but very, very proud. :)

Well, seeing as how I'm fortunate enough to be married to a man that could build a house - including install HVAC/electrical/plumbing - work on cars and draw/read commercial blueprints I never needed to hammer a nail in straight - Thank God. It would have been a miserable failure.
When we started our vaping journey past prebuilt coils - he simply could not get his body to cooperate with his brain. So he taught me to do the physical part and he did all the figuring. When you have lived over 40 years and never used a screwdriver...its interesting to learn there is actually some level of skill and finesse to doing it correctly as not to damage the threads.

That is a great idea with the Phiniac Phrosty and getting it colored black. I will definitely look around :)

I have a pair of Phiniac custom tubes in the mail. One is for my Stealth. I'll post pics when the letter carrier gets around to dropping them off.

Not sure if my coil is threading into the chimney properly, i can turn it forever and it doesn't seem to catch on any threads and i can just pull the top half of the tank off without unscrewing it. I'm so confused. I mean it works but I just can't seem to screw the base on -shrugs-

I have had this experience twice. It has nothing to do with the tank and everything to do with the poor quality assurance people at the coil manufacturer. Of note, both failures came from the same 5 coil blister pack. Three worked perfectly, others worked fine in a standard nautilus and were relegated to the wife's Nautilus Mini stash but displayed the exact same problem you described above.

I was just going to let the kabuki set for 30 min or so... do I need to put some drops down inside the coil to prime it further before first use?
I just let mine sit for 5 minutes, sometimes with high vg on the regular nautilus i used to put a drop or 2 on the coil and it hasn't hurt. Been a while though, the sit fir 5 mins seems to work lik a charm on the kabuk every time :)

Those are good black friday purchases too!!!

Yeah, any vape purchase is a good one especially essential items such those. :thumb:

Those are fine purchases indeed. Grabbed several sets of O-rings along with some various and sundry Kabuki parts myself.

Thanks guys — hopefully I will not have to use them but it is nice knowing I have them just in case. I may though try the colored o-rings out.

I am still waiting on my no design black phrosty Phiniac tube that I ordered on BF. Looks like I may get it today. PO service has really slowed down to less than snail’s pace.

I admit it, I didn't watch the videos, but from now on I will add used Nautilus heads to my jar of used Protank heads. I have no urge to rebuild them, it just makes me feel thrifty.

I thought about rebuilding and saving the heads for about a second before chucking one into the trash. Didn't feel bad one bit by not conserving....

I have 2 Kabukis, about to get a third maybe...much more consistent vape than I have had with any subtank. And ZERO leaks! The base is a bit harder to screw back on, but I can live with that as long as I'm not breaking anything :)

The price is higher, to be sure, but when I think of the various $30 subtanks I have thrown away...

Now I just need to find an awesome deal on bulk bvc coils.
